The players return for pre season training in 6 weeks or so. I understand that after round 26 Emperor HUmpty went on the Game Plan to back coach Sheens and informed the masses that the supercoach was driving everyone mad and was re arranging the gym equipment.
I would like to know did supercoach finish re arranging the gym before he was flicked ? Or has humpty called in some Toyota Cup players to fill the void and put an artistic slant on the layout of the camp Concord gym. Knowing the Tigers we have dropped in to Missionbeat and/or secured 10 work experience kids to perform the task and Wayne Cousins is salivating at the thought of faxing the press release to prospective sponsors.
Rumours also abounded of a return of the great Royce Simmons and I am wondering if Humpty signed a letter of intent and lodged a contract with the NRL for the Sizzler's esteemed flying fox that had has average 52 missed tackles per game and concede 28 points per game under its tenure.
2013 could be a long season if the gym and flying fox situations are not sorted out and I hope the u20s are studying appropriate feng shui at TAFE/School the next few weeks. Coach Sheens will be too busy to spend too much time at Camp COncord given his Kangaroos commitments and the thoughts about whether BOyd, Farah or Cherry Evans will be the lucky 3 minute man in Townsville. I feel it might be Robbie as the great man teaches him a lesson for his part in the not bloodless coup that has just gone down at Camp Concord.
Sheens is a man with a long memory. Murray Hurst has not coached again in the NRL and it could be a similar fate for the Tigers new coach if he is off to a bad start. Pritchard has the poison pen ready to come to the defence of his old mate and will be fuming that he won't be getting his 7% next time supercoach's contract is up and Pritchard manufactures worldwide interest for Mr 40% from the likes of the Brisbane Broncos, AC Milan, the Green Bay Packers and the NY Yankees.
