A fair chance we will go into next weekends game with our key positions filled by;

1/ Hinton

6/ Mullen
7/ Walsh

9/ Seu Seu

If you would have told me at the start of the season that this could even happen i'd have given you 100-1 odds - but if you would have told me i would be excited to see it and give us a very good chance of a win - well - don't think i'd have believed that.
Mullen will be missing through rep duties Roopy ;-)

And Bailey will be playing five-eight

The 1,6,7, and 9 positions for the future look strong. There we have the future NZ hooker and the current NSW halfback.

As for Hinton, he reminded me alot of Brian Carney with his hair and running style. Looks strong for a bloke of his size. And he is safe as houses under the high ball too, which is a bonus. The only problem is, he will probably find himself in PL for years unless we find another position for Kidley.

Hinton has something you can't measure with a tape measure - he knows his way to the tryline.
He has been a regular try scorer in all grades.

We wouldn't have won the other night if Hinton wasn't backing up all night.

We have a team full of backs who couldn't find the tryline with a GPS system - and we are worried about the one who definately can.

Jimmy Mac has shown himself to be a good finisher, mad dog is an ex test winger, mad pup has a very good strike rate, ute is a try machine in the making and than you got naiqama(if he signs), kidley and vuna. Plenty of try scoring potential there if you ask me

Vuna at FB should be tried IMO whilst we have the chance now that Kidley is injured. He has size, pace and strength to become a good kick returner. Hinton is solid, but n ot spectacular and I thought that we wanted the best players here. Seage and Thaiday (when fit and in form) offer so much more than Hinton. Sad realisation is that they'll never string together numerous NRL games.

Perhaps that is why Smith has been playing Hinton on the wing in PL? To see that he can play that as a secondary position when Kidley is fit again?
