No way those two passes (blown tries) were hicks' fault if he stayed on his wing for the first one it would of been a try, and the second one it went straight through his legs, how the hell is that Hayne's fault?

Errr...perhaps because, a player at speed with the tryline in his sights should not be expecting a dross pass around his ankles (or 14 feet over his head) from the playmaker?

Some of you people are unbelievable!

You see wingers score off those passes all the time. Sometimes you don't have time to get the perfect ball away, he created the space both times, Hicks should have got at least one of them, if not both!!!!

Again we failed as a team, not individual performances!!!!

I really wish I could see the positives some of you see for next year, unfortunately all I see is failure :(

Hayne didn't look where he was passing...why????????

This argument is a load of steaming shit...deadset, Hayne could have pulled a Roosters jersey and potted the field goal for them and people would still defend him....f**k me dead.

Obviously if you are not looking where you are passing it is harder for the defense to read it!

Hayne passes to the wing but guess what? The winger isn't standing there........

The second one should have been a better pass and I can get on board with that one but seriously, that first one, I don't know why Hicks needed to be so far in field!

I discussed that earlier, but regardless of the reason...any playmaker who throws a pass without knowing where the target is, should not be throwing that pass. It's simple. I don't give a rats if it's harder for the defence to read...if you don't look when you f**king pass, the defence don't need to read anything. They just need to stand there while you f**k it up, which Hayne did all too obligingly.

Hicks was in a perfect position to give Hayne a relaticvely short, easy pass for a try. Hayne decided not to look, not Hicks. Blaming Hicks is complete folly

Have a look again Einstein, he was standing still and the ball went through his legs, also it was 14 feet over his head because he was that far out of position, if he was on his wing it would of been on his chest.

Short pass? It would have been intercepted, it needed to be over the heads!

Ok, it's all Hicks' fault, and show pony Hayne was physically unable to give him good ball because he was so horribly out of position

This is ludricrous, seriously.

Compare his game to Slater, Slater is a mile ahead of him. Haynes showboating with his no look passes, teh kicking ahead instead of diving on the ball and his genreal lack of invovlement are mystifying when you consider teh talens he ahs. If he can't wake up and realise his faults then teh coach needs, must point them out to him. Kearney step up and wake him up!

Compare his game to Slater's.... Slater is the guy on the end of the play he has got 2 great playmakers in his team. Hayne is the only playmaker in his team, everything comes off him. Without Hayne we would of had the wooden spoon wrapped up weeks ago.

And with Hayne we wrapped it up tonight.

He is the most overrated Eel of all time, by his own fans. He was useless tonight and he still gets excused. If I played the way he did in CRL I'd be dropped...he did it at NRL level and it's fine? Please....

Baz, please allow me to attempt to put a suggestion to you, the greatest RL commentator on this forum...

If Burt could tackle, we win
If Fui holds on to the ball we win
If Hicks could catch we win
If Keating could pass we win
If the ref had half a brain and checks the 1st try we win

BUT of course, no...it's all Hayne's fault. Why don't we all get down to the football offices on Monday and stage a protest calling for the club to rip up Hayne's contract? I mean, I'm sure the vast majority of fans would be there supporting you...

Did Hayne visit London anytime in the last 2 years? I'm sure he's responsible for the rioting over there...middle east anyone...

I think you're a simpleton.

Deadset simpleton.

Did Hayne not sign your autograph book during the week or something?
Our team needs him playing far more than it needs a halfwit like you supporting it. Either go find another team (kinda worked for PP) or take off your 'hate' glasses and watch the footy.

Hayne wasn't great last night, but he still conjured up a try from nothing, was the absolute only thing we had going in attack, and generalled a good defensive performance. If anyone can be forgiven for kicking the ball ahead in the last minute and trying for the win it is the person who has JUST SAVED YOU THE GAME BY CHARGING DOWN THE FIELD GOAL - what he did hardly cost us the game.
That's as naive as saying Fui cost us the game by dropping the ball twice.
Nonsense - Fui and Hayne and Hindy and Mannah and Reni are the blokes busting their guts each week, a shame they're not supported with much else.

Sure, Hayne's execution was out - has been for a few weeks now - but that's what happens when there's nobody else in the team who can create anything.
The poor bloke is a superstar talent who is playing with a reserve grade backline - earlier in the year his passes were working just fine, but he's overplaying his hand right now - what he needs is for the season to end, and for the cavalry to arrive.

I don't understand how anyone can blame Hayne for the loss. Yes he made a mistake or two but the whole team made crucial mistakes and key times that cost is. Take Hayne out of the team and where would we be? Relegated to first division that's where!!!

You make a lot of sense on here Baz but i can't agree with you singling Hayne out here, sure he didn't have a top notch game but FMD he didn't cost us that game. Keating who had Burt unmarked besides the posts to take it to 16- nil KTC and then giving away a silly penalty should go to the top of the class. And as for blaming Hayne for that first pass for Hicks??? Hicks was a mile infield even the commentators said it, the 2nd pass wasn't the best but you still expect your winger to catch it. And we won't mention Burts feebles attempts of defending when the game is on the line......
