  :x   stop bagging our guys you usless bunch of sh*t heads sure they may have there off days and not play well buts thats not ok.
Nope. What's not Ok is getting paid more than anyone could dream of AND playing for the team we would all sell our souls to play for and not go out there and give it 100% week in week out, barring a few players.

discuss there efforts and mistakes but why bag them out to the degree that some of you mongrels have.
I don't agree with bagging players. But I will criticise their performances. I believe EVERY player has good traits and bad traits; there is no universally awful player.

like say if burt came on here and read those posts how do u think that would effect him, im sure it would be for the worse not the better.
I love Burty. But I believe NOBODY (you read correct; NOBODY, not even Hindmarsh) is exempt from criticism. If you put in less than 100%, and you play without heart, I will criticise. Not because I could do better - I am not nearly fit enough, and the blokes are probably way more skillful than me - but because if I was in their place, I would give it 100% every week. I love the Eels, and only injuties and lack of fitness would stop me from playing well.
Having said that, as much of a champ as Burty is, he had a bad game. And also, if he came on the forums and decided to get upset about how some people on here don't like him as a player (gee, people have selective memories; back last year, everyone agreed he was our best back; in the early rounds, everyone was excited to see him back; he has a few bad games and people want his head on a pike), well, then ... Quite frankly, he wouldn't really be worth our time.
I'm sure he knows deep down that he isn't playing 100%. He also knows what he's capable of. And I, like others, don't criticise HIM, but HIS PERFORMANCE.

i am a bs fan and in most cases a coach cant be blamed for the on feild performance of the team, in this case i must say the reason we lost on the weekend was hes fault like why on hell did he put one of our best in morris on the bench for most of the first hallf. where down 20 zip morris comes sets up a try and we win the 2nd half (once again) 20 - 4 but winning 2nd half does not cut it when we loose the game.
Again - had Thorman had a blinder, set up all our tries, made brilliant breaks and put people into space, and Morris was quiet, would you be criticising the coach?
Personally, I would have started Morris and put Throman into 5/8 and taken Widders off, thereby moving Wagon to lock. But it was all done wrong.
Throman has NEVER played with the likes of Grothe, Burt, Petersen and McKinnon. He does not know their styles of play and their preferred options. This will take time to set. If we wanted to realistically expect Thorman to play before Witt, then we should have given him more games. Trials, a few First Grade games. THEN and only then will he have an impact.
Witt should have gotten the start Why? He has everything Chris has, but he has played with Muzza before and also Vaealiki. He's played with Hindy, Cayless, Morris and more.
A lack of passion and intensity combined with a poor coaching decision cost us the two points TWICE in the past two weeks.

my faith in bs is starting to where thin.
Mine too. But only because he seems to want to persevere with useless tactics.
Although, admitedly, we here are all armchair coaches, we have come up with some ideas which seem logical (get am organising half like Witt or Thorman into the team to lead us around the park; get rid of players not giving 100%). And the coach himself has final say in everything, yet doesn't seem to believe that by putting an organising half in the team to allow Dykes and Morris to play their natural, creative games, he would benefit the team greatly.

im mightly pissed off with the performance of our guys just as much as you guys especially when if we had won the last 2 weeks we would be in 2nd possie on the table right now.
But we are not. And many factors come into it (questionable reffing, poor attacking options, etc.), but the main ones are: we have tactics which seem to work 50% of the time, and players who show up for 50% of the match. Not good enough.

but putting our guys down in that fashion just dosent cut it.
Neither does the fact we have a coach who took us to a Minor Premiership and Grand Final 3 years ago, and who has had a wealth of talent good enough for the past 3 years to at least make us a Premiership force, and yet we have achieved a big fat ZIPPOLA.
I am willing to stand by the coach and players as long as it takes.
But it is getting tiresome very quickly seeing a club that once had a very proud tradition of strong defence, winning attitude and 'never-say-die nitty-gritty' - not to mention our WINNING CULTURE we once had - being reduced to but a mere pissy little shadow of its former glory.
