I'm gonna raise a serious issue here...

Who is more of a hero... the dudes who were trapped in the mine for 3 days ? Lil' Sophie getting hit by a car... twice & receiving severe burns ? Or the guy who was half eaten by a shark.

IMO it would have to be either Sophie or the shark dude. My logic behind this is they both had to fight to live. The guy with half his body inside the sharks mouth had the witts to punch the shark in the eye so it would release him, & then started breathing into his regulator so he would be splashing allover the plac & attract the shark again. Sophie, despite being disfigured & hit by a car twice... her spirit after it seeminlgy has'n't dampened at all (there is of course what she had to go through at the time of the accidents, but the bodies natural response to those injuries is to keep alive if you get my meaning.

Not trying to take anything away from those 2 guys who were stuck down the mine... they showed guts & were still able to joke about it... but I found the other 2 to be more couragous.

The point I'm trying to get to is this... Who decides who is more heroic ? The general population ? The media ? ( a lot of people will talk of Sophie & th 2 men down the mine being more heroic simple cuz it got more hype ).

Love to hear your opinions.

To me, personally, a hero is the guy who would jump into the ocean to help rescue the shark victim; a hero is the guy who would go down the mine to help the trapped men. I am in absolute agreeance, & I should have siad this in my post.

These victims were reactive... no proactive... they are a victim of circumstance.

It personally pissed me off when the guys who saved the miners got little media attention... they were the biggest heros in the whole thing.

I completely agree.

Don't get me wrong - Sophie, the miners and the shark guy showed exceptional courage and a will to live that one has rarely seen elsewhere. But to call them "heroes" to me is a tad farfetched...

Well we got our arses handed to us in OzTag... again. We were playing so well but choked in the 2nd half. We have so many good players... but we are sh*t team... not enough people putting their hands up tohave a go.

Nearly got into a fight with a team mate. He f*cked up & someone in our team yelled at him... & he said " Don't tell me what to do or I'll hit you in the head " This p*sses me off so I started yelling at the little junkie " Don't f*cking talk about it, f*cking do it ". His response " Don't tempt me ". " Oooo, bad dude... I'm sh*tting myself ! ". He had nothing to say after that & I could have swore I saw 2 little balls fall out of his pants. I can only assume it was his nuts.

Well I found a Vote For Dean shirt on e-bay Wore it to the Catho & this old dude started shaking my hand saying " Hello Dean ! Good luck ! " Forgot all about the shirt so I didn't know what the f*ck was going on.

Get to the club & a girl took a photo of me. Even convinced one girl that if you go through my suburb you'll see " Vote For Dean " posters everywhere Got her number as well so it must have worked The campaign has begun !

( I think the shirt was made for that Dean Geyer pr*ck from Oz Idol... but we won't let anyone know that )
