Have you seen our reserve grade team? There isn’t enough for wholesale changes.
Don’t go torching the Jets. They are punching well.
Wholesale changes for me is tweaking the team when required. The coach has proven he ain’t willing to do that during his tenure. Something he needs to work on… fast.

Talakai needed to come back on earlier tonight and Hunt or Tapuha needed to stay on in those last few minutes. f**ked up and made the same mistakes at the end last week. Too much pre meditated interchanging and not enough thinking on the run.

Your behind all those power boppers need to be on, it's about attack at that stage

We don't have anyone to bring in at all, it's just moving the deck chairs around with the rotation of toby, uele, royce, tuks etc and atkinson filling in occasionally.

Weren't we killing it in the junior comps a few years ago? Why aren't these players coming through and at the very least pressuring the first graders?

Because most of them have graduated already. Must have been a piss weak era in the juniors

Planning to get the annual slump out of the way pre-finals is a masterstroke
A couple of weeks ago I wasn't concerned as I thought
"They are probably hitting training extremely hard getting ready to taper off for the finals run home, they'll be right in the next week or so"
I'm now definitely starting to be concerned, still hoping I'm right though

Yes, I was of the same opinion. Penrith was concerning because of the scale of belting but we had time to recover. Not concerned by the Parramatta game as they had the big lift of Moses and Gutherson back and we had been up for a long time.

The Dolphins game was annoying because they are not a good team. They work hard and have the Hammer for brilliance. The Dogs are the same and we gift wrapped that win for them. Did exactly the same last night.

This lot seem to have bought into their own hype and think they can just roll up and win without doing the work. They have lost the ability to grind. The poor starts have been a theme for a while and it's all mental. It shows immaturity to rock up, concede a big lead and think you can run it down each week.

I made my comment unsure whether it was tongue in cheek or not.

I mean, I'll be glad if it is tactical. I'm sure they're not meaning to lose, but the approach may have changed to ensure we're energised at the right time.

No one is going to care if we hit the finals on fire.

I posted similar thoughts around the same time, but the past few performances have pretty much lost me.

The early part of the season our success was built on holding the first 20 minutes or so, then injecting Sifa, Royce and Tommy / Tuku into the fray.

That has all gone missing now.

I get it that Teig was injured and Sifa was moved back to the edge out of necessity.
But Teig has been back for 2 weeks now.
He was fit enough, and considered good enough, to play 80 minutes before.
He only missed 2 matches FFS.
Why the need for him to get splinters in his arse for 30 minutes?

He is also a voice out there, and a leader.
As you pointed out elsewhere, with Finucane's retirement we are very light on in that dept.

This is just an absolute waste of an interchange.

Two weeks in a row we've been in a situation where the game is crying out for someone to rip it apart.
And all of our impact players are sitting on the bench until it's too late.
Why?
The only thing I can think of is Fitzy is short in interchanges and worried about using them all too early.

If that's the case, don't pharquing burn one on an 80 minute player, dipshit.

I get that Royce and Tuku are only capable of playing short bursts but, to me, that gets down to coaching and strength and conditioning.
Why not try to get their conditioning up to handle longer minutes.
It doesn't need to be much. Just an extra 10 minutes out of each of them.
FFS, sort that shit out.

And don't get me started on his selection of Atkinson on the wing.
There's a specialist winger in the 19.
He's uncapped, sure. But he's in the top 30 for a reason, and playing well in NSW Cup from what I've read.
Give the kid a pharquing run FFS. It's just one week. And maybe it will do him some good.
You know, part of succession planning.

I read somewhere earlier this year Fitzy saying something about coaching and how it's easy to form opinions when you're not the one who has to make the decisions. Something along the lines of "you die by your decisions".

Well, you're dieing right now.

Did Tieg injure the same AC joint that required surgery last year? I can only imagine he's not playing because he isn't 100% right. Pure speculation though.

To be honest, I thought there was ducks and drakes going on and that Rodwell was going to be debuted. I can't envisage that DA would have had the reps in to be a winger in comparison to the boy who has played wing for 2 seasons pretty much in NSW Cup. It was a chicken shit decision for mine.

I haven't lost trust in him. Unless the drills and reps they do are practicing how to miss tackles, how to drop balls, how to be lazy cunks, how not to back up, how to put in low efforts. how to throw shit passes, how to make poor decisions, how to do popgun kicks, how to let ya mate down, how to keep out of the firing line, how to produce penalties at exactly the wrong time etc

All that stuff is down to the troops, not the general. I could be swayed on that if it could be confirmed there are problems with the messaging Fitz gives or something unseen we don't know about.

I'd also identify any rust in the team and cut it out NOW.

This is my point in a nutshell.
The perfect time to blood an out and out winger and opts for a kind of fullback come five eighth.

I was sure there’d be a late switch.

Pharquing grow a pair.
