Apparently some of the alleged Sharks fans in here - or one at least- have raised the point that AFB's form has gone backwards under Fitzy.
That is terrible.
I must say.
Raising an issue like that on this forum is out of order.
Why can't we all just be happy with the teams form, individuals form and the coaches results?
Win or lose.
Heads should stay well and truly buried deep in the sand.
However, before I go....
Even though I am not a fan of stats, as they can be mispresented to prove any agenda one wishes to push, and I much prefer to rely on what I watch and see to be true....may I just take the time to respond to a few that were thrown out as evidence that AFB is in fact, continuing his dynamic Wahs form under coach Fitz.
Said stats are to do with AFB's prolific scoring of trys.
2023: Wahs 9 tries in 26 games
A try every 2.8 games
2024: Wahs 8 tries in 23 games
A try every 2.8 games
2025: Cron 6 tries in 27 games
A try every 4.5 games (hhmm..)
2026: Cron 0 tries in 6 games
Oops... (maybe that's just alleged)
And, finally...anybody who thinks the Dally M's in any way are a representation of the games best players - or the best coaches - is delusional.
These awards are given to players who are not only, not the best player in the competition, quite often they're not even the best player in their team!
If in doubt check out the weekly doling out of points given by some judges for a game.
Blayke Brayley polled top in our loss to the roosters last week as one example.
