I watched the Black Sabbath portion of the Sabbs farewell concert just a couple of weeks ago. Having seen them twice, the last couple of times they toured Australia, it was pretty confronting seeing him perform seated the whole time. That said, the big black throne was very fitting fit him in that situation!

To hear this afternoon that he's now gone: Wow.

Stratton could be a pompous ass, but you can’t deny the chemistry he had with Margaret nor his encyclopaedic knowledge and experience and love for the cinematic world. Back in the day there were shows you wouldn’t miss, and theirs was one I watched every week. RIP .

Rick Davies of Supertramp has passed after a long battle with cancer. This one hits hard for as a kid, we used to hear a lot of Supertramp and I love their big songs dearly. RIP and Goodbye Stranger.

Can't say I've ever seen anything he's been involved with, to the best of my knowledge, but I appreciate his body of work in Hollywood and his status.

Can I strongly suggest if you want to watch some of his work then start with his greatest role in an absolutely outstanding film The Natural. You don't even have to particularly like baseball to appreciate just what a superbly made film it truly is.
