Second test just about to start. WIndies won the toss and will bowl. A bit of moisture in the pitch should help the bowlers.

One change for each side. Mithun in for Mishra and Samuels in for Nash.

Shiv and Samuels hang around for a bit they might have a chance. India has drawn just once at Barbados, and lost every other match

(Sorry, Team India).

Botched replay led to Dhoni dismissal - ICC
Thu Jun 30, 2011 3:57pm GMT

By Julian Linden

BRIDGETOWN (Reuters) - India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was incorrectly given out during the second test against West Indies because the television broadcaster showed the wrong replay to the review umpire, the International Cricket Council (ICC) said on Thursday.

The ICC said the mix-up was made by the host broadcaster, IMG Media, but it was too late to change the decision.

"Having looked into the situation, I am satisfied it was an unfortunate but honest mistake in what is a tense and live environment," ICC match referee Chris Broad said in a statement.

"Seeing as the game has continued, clearly there is no opportunity to reverse the decision. We are forced now put it behind us and move on with the remainder of the match."

The incident occurred on the first day when Dhoni was caught by Shivnarine Chanderpaul at mid-on off the bowling of Fidel Edwards.

The on-field umpire Ian Gould suspected the delivery may have been a no-ball so he sought confirmation from the third umpire, Gregory Brathwaite.

Dhoni was given out after the replay Braithwaite watched showed the bowler delivering a legal ball. However, it later emerged that Braithwaite was shown the wrong delivery and the actual delivery had in fact been a no-ball.

"This was a case of human error, compounded by a senior replay operative having to return home at very short notice," an IMG spokesman said.

Would have been interesting if Chanderpaul could have played his customary hanging around role for hours on end, no doubt WI would have had a sizeable 1st innings lead

Maybe they can do something in the second innings, depending on what sort of lead India finish up with.

I was pretty disappointed in the WIndies last night, makes me feel like quoting Homer "that team sure did suck last night, they were the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked..."
They weren't that bad, but they just didn't compete enough for my liking. All out for 190. India now lead by 44 with ten wickets in hand at the end of day 3.

game finished a draw last night
WIndies finished 202/7 and bad light stopped play, but India had just taken 2 wickets, so they probably should have won with just a few more overs. There was however a terrible LBW call given against Chanderpaul, really needed DRS there, but tat was a really bad call, clearly missing off. The ball hit him on the back pad well outside off and moving further away. I'm sure WIndies still would have found a way to lose...

It's not inconceivable that WIndies may have challenged for this match, but that doesn't matter, I'm sure they'll be happy with the draw.

If they'd done a bit better in the first innings they might've. Need Gayle really, would make a fiar difference to the side.

Still positive in Samules playing well, Baugh in the second innings and Bravo, and Edwards grabbing 5.

Did anyone else read Gayle's letter?

It was really long but worth the read. I don't even think Cricket Australia would do what WICB did to Gayle. I haven't really heard the story from their perspective though, but they are hurting West Indies cricket not playing him whilst he is available. I just wonder if there is any likelihood that he could play for any other country, because that is what people have been reading into it. I would think eligibility would take a while, but it's not exactly unprecedented.
