Dhoni a chance to miss the first England test if he has another over rate breach. I can't see governing bodies wanting to suspend him especially not for the 2000th test match, but if there is another breach they will have to

Maybe they can suspend him for 4 tests in Australia? :)

Harbijahn gets his 400th wicket, probably the least impressive of the bowlers to achieve that milestone

That is one of the stats I freaking love. Harby is only the 11th guy to make the list, it was a very impressive list of bowlers before he joined it
400 wicket club
I think it was bound to get unimpressive inclusion and that the list will grow substantially soon because of the amount of test matches guys will play in their careers now. As the list currently stands only one of the guys achieved that feat before I was born and it was the month before. Compare that to the 200 wicket club and 54 guys have already entered it in under 60 matches (the only list I could find) and 28 guys have reached the milestone in the last 20 years. My prediction is that if all things remain equal, Steyn will top the 400 wicket list by his 70th test.

Yes it was, he;s the first with an average of over 30 to make it. Worst economy and strike rates as well from that list.

averages 28 or so in India from more than half his tests. But then averages over 34 in England, 34 in South Africa, over 45 in Sri Lanka, over 70 in Australia, hasnt taken a wicket in Pakistan. 48 in bangladesh. Reasonable record against average side away (Windies, NZ, Zimbots).

India 18/2.

Sammy and Edwards bowling superbly. Does anybody know if Rampaul has recovered from his illness? I'd love to see the Windies restrict India to a sub-200 score but no doubt Harbhajan will resurrect the innings if India begin to falter like he always does.

While the Windies are hopeless in the batting department, they have a good complement of bowlers - Edwards, Rampaul, Taylor, Roach, Russell, Benn, Bishoo and of course, DJ Sammy. Hopefully we'll never have to see the likes of Darren Powell and Omari Banks again.

I must say his record in England and South Africa isn't too bad as conditions do tend to favour the seam bowlers in those countries.

Warne had a better average in both SOuth Africa and England than his career, Murali better in england and a very respectable 26 in South Africa, a good spinner is good in most conditions. Just because South Africa and England havnt themselves produced good spinners doesnt mean they are shit conditions for spinners

Interestingly Kumble's average outside India is even worse than Harbijahn, very much a home ground hero.

Not really south african tho is he, good bowler no doubt and will probably back my point, getting wickets in south africa as a good spinner can

Sensational effort from the WIndies to draw that match, 2 centuries in the second innings and Fidel Edwards stating out there for over 100 balls. He was my man of the match. 5fer in the first innings, batted with a tonne of resilience in the second innings, was instrumental in ensuring the draw, took a wicket first ball of India's second innings, kept WIndies right in it all of the second innings.
Chanderpaul was official man of the match, he was good too, solid effort all round from the WIndies to draw that one.:clap::clap:
