I think this was a great match, particularly the second innings. Contest-wise it offered us heaps, was fantastic:D

Sri Lanka gave away 5 byes and 6 no balls - India 0 byes and 1 no ball - that's more than the difference...

What a game, Dilshan is amazing to watch too, imagine him and Sehwag opening together!

Sangakkara made Dilshan and Sehwag look like defensive players last night. He has been striking the ball so well in the past few games.

Who says one dayers are dead? Great game even without an even contest between bat and ball.

That said, these sub continent roads that everyone else seems to be adopting too won't always offer that much excitement...usually they'll give a massive win to the side batting first as the chasers fall over themselves trying to get home. The odd game like this doesn't make up for the utter lack of bowling impact IMO

mate apart from England and to an extent SA all countries are producing roads... Australia included.

over the past decade we have seen sporting pitches slowly disappear in most countries...
WACA no longer is fast and bouncy, SCG no longer offers big turn, Indian pitches are no longer spinning dust bowls, pitches in WI have lost their character as well.

The lack of sporting pitches is killing the game, ICC needs to grow some balls and introduce tough and fair guidelines for pitches and empower the forgotten men of cricket... bowlers, they can start by removing the restrictions on bouncers. Lets see if the batsmen can be as enterprising then as they are now.

ICC should start changing the game so that cricket is a battle between bat and ball not the batsmen of the two teams.

Agree 100%

Bit more spice in the pitches...

another idea, why not let bowlers bowl >10 overs? Batsmen aren't restricted in the # of balls they can face...

this ODI looks nothing like the last, with both Sehwag and Ghambir falling cheaply 37/2 after 9
