Im also interested to see how the Poms go - they have struggled since the ashes and havent displayed any where near the cricket they are capable of!

Not only are Vaughan and Tresco out, but Jones is missing too. King Gilo hasnt toured either due to injury.

It will be very tough for England.

It's not very often that I support India, but there are always exceptions.

The Pakistan tour was quite enjoyable really ...

The testmatch also marks the debut of the first Sikh player to represent England at the Int'l arena. Monty Panesar is a decent Left Arm Offspinner but he couldn't bat to save his life. Interesting to see how he fares against the other Turbanator - Harbhajan Singh.

I heard about the riots in the street when it was announced that Ganguly was omitted from the squad

Greg Chappell is not too popular over there atm

Alistair Cook got 60 on debut. From memory he's the guy that scored 200 in the Tour Match for Essex against Australia????

fantastic effort by Collingwood scoring his first test ton
also good innings by Harmison who is turning into a very good tail end batsmen and should get a couple of test 50's before he retires
