Not even accepting the trip to Disneyland, let alone all that money. Totally honorable and admirable. And while the social media warriors will say it was done to avoid totally being ruined in the court of public opinion, if they were the scamming, terrible people that they’ve been made out to be, there’s no way they’d knock back any of that to appease people.

It kind of sucks they had to take this position just to shut up the people who believed there was a scam going on. But it's an honourable position.

I suppose people will now argue 'oh but they will still make money through seeking damages in court'. But so does everybody else who is wrongly defamed by journalists. Plus they will still have to put up with people who think it's a lie when it is not.
