Injured Cayless to quit St Helens

If he isn't fit to play ESL he won't cut it in NRL.

Just because Scott Prince was plagued by injury when we signed him and went on to be a star doesn't mean it's a blueprint for future signings.

exactly.

Not too mention he hardly dominated in the NRL when he was here anyway.

We can do better for half the price.

He was the better Cayless while in the NRL imo - have not seen him in ESL so no idea how he is playing.

Are you sure? They did the same thing with Tupou.

Bit harsh. I think he was potentially the game's best prop around the 2003/04 mark.

He was in the front row for a premiership winning team and two subsequent grand finals. His front row colleagues at that time were Peter Cusack and Ned Catic. Hardly superstars.

sorry MU competely disagree. jason cayless was the main front rower in a team that made 3 gfs in a row. at the time he was probably the form front rower in the comp. the bloke is massive and still 29 which isnt old for a prop. i would be all over us signing him.

Look at Petro- Price age is nothing

He had a shoulder injury and a knee injury- its not that he wasn't fit enough- just got injured two years in a row...a bit like Weyman

Look at Skando- he had a very solid year for us....

I hope we sign him.... would fit the bill, pave the way for the other guys. our props are ok- but there is not much competition for spots... they get a start no matter what as we have no depth...Bring back Skando, add cayless and burgess....keep dane..then if Gibbs and co have to put in every week otherwise they will get the hook...

I've had a feeling about this one for a few weeks now. Don't know why, it just seems like something we'd go for. I'd be very happy were we to do so.

Andrew Voss was saying the Tigers will be meeting Jason to check fitness and his inside word was that he is pretty much signed up.

Not my first choice but certainly not my last.

Come on you tiger fans . Cayless is a wonderful option . I hope he comes we need a mongrel in our back . Then finally we can get Bryce Gibbs our weakest pack member out of the team and into the lower grades. we got rid of two weak links in Morris and Collis now we can get rid of Gibbs and we might actually make some progress with our pack

I really hope that Cayless becomes a tiger and I hope it happens quickly Then we would have a pack with two champions Ellis and Cayless with the developing Galloway and Heinington and hopefully a pack with some mongrel .

Get a clue. Only one Wests player consistently along with Tuiaki made 100M+ per game during the back third or so of the season, i'll give you one guess who.

That may be true Ink, but I'd nearly go as far as to say he cost us the game against Parramatta with some silly, silly penalties.

The penalties are just killer.

Also concedes less penalties than most of the forward pack last time I checked the stats.

Next reason? Or are you all just fapping over one another again. It's really quite bizarre how it just takes one person to notice one thing with a player during a purple patch or loss of form and they're rep quality/not fit for FG within a few weeks.

As Gibbs is the most penalised player in Wests tigers ( for the third year in a row ) he is a becoming a huge liability we can do without. So much potential and he has never performed any where near the form you would expect of a player who should have representative honours by now
