Injury update

A friend of mine is a physio for an NRL team. I remember him telling me that there would be at least 1 knee and 1 shoulder reco per annum on average in both first and reserve grade so 4 season enders. That doesn’t include all the other injuries. Some times teams are just blessed/cursed (in our case) with outlier seasons.

I agree for the most part injuries are just back luck and misfortune.

Ben Ikin's side contained Dylan Edwards but I didn't hear him say he checked about his availability with the club. I wasn't listening closely so he could have said it. I would be surprised given the initial diagnosis and club statements which were pretty clear at the time he would not return until 2019. Fire of a tweet to Gus and he will no doubt address the issue.

Didn't watch NRL360. But last year Edwards was supposed to be out for 3-4 weeks with his injury leading into the finals and missed only 1 game.

So it's not unprecedented for him to return much earlier thsn first predicted.
