Mixed news on the injury front this week, with Willie Tonga and Taniela Lasalo expected to make their returns to the football field after long-term back and arm injuries.

Here is the update on the other Pirtek Parramatta Eels players who are injured:
Kelepi Tanginoa - hand injury, indefinite
Api Pewhairangi - hand injury, 2 weeks
Nathan Smith - calf injury, 1 week
Jacob Loko - right knee injury, indefinite
Cheyse Blair - knee injury, 6-8 weeks
Ben Smith - knee injury, indefinite
Jarryd Hayne - hamstring, indefinite

We hope their recoveries go well and we see them back on the field as soon as possible.

We don't know that they won't be here. RS said words to the effect that the players might change his mind through form over the rest of the season.

Rumsfeld was right. There's difference between risk and uncertainty. Toss a coin....you don't know whether it'll come down head or tails, but you know what the possibilities are. Try to predict what external event will cause G Hock to be suspended for 15 months.....good luck.

Given the form of uncontracted players Ben Roberts and Matt Keating since it was announced, if Ben Roberts and Matt Keating are here in 2014 it will have nothing to do with form. Given that we have signed Norman and Peats and have Sandow and Kelly also committed for 2014 it is doubtful either will be here next year.

We also don't know whether Pewhairangi will be here next year either.

Well he on the list of players signed for 2014 and beyond, so we can only presume from that he will be here next year.
