See the latest updates on the Dyldam Parramatta Eels squad as we head into Round 20 of the NRL Telstra Premiership.

Hooker Nathan Peats made his return from a knee injury as a late addition to the Eels' Round 19 line up.

Corey Norman left the field during Friday night’s match, and has sustained damage to the posterior cruciate ligament in his knee.

Prop Danny Wicks has extended shoulder damage and will be reviewed by a specialist early in the week.

Lock Anthony Watmough has extended knee cartilage damage and will also be reviewed by a specialist.

Despite being attended to by trainers during the Eels’ Round 19 match, forward David Gower is expected to be available for selection in Round 20.

The following players also remain on the Blue and Gold injury list:

Reece Robinson (fractured cheekbone - 1-2 weeks)

John Folau (leg injury - 1-2 weeks)

Richie Fa'aoso (shoulder - indefinite)

Peni Terepo (pectoral - season)

Kaysa Pritchard (pectoral - season)

Beau Champion (knee - season)

Kenny Edwards (knee - season)

We are really looking thin on the ground. But suppose a few other clubs are the same as us.

Watmough & Wicks confirmed to be gone for the year, joining Champion, Edwards, Kaysa, Terepo & Fa'aoso.

7 from our top 21.

Unless we win a couple of the next few games, I'd rest Norman for the remainder of the season. Get him as close to 100% for next season.

games or players???

I've never seen an injury toll like it, all we keep hearing how unlucky the Panthers and Manly are. None of them have had the injury toll we have.

with injuries plus the salary cap dramas its a miracle we have been able to field 17 players every week

The salary cap auditor generally finds 17 fit players for us.

Considering the scarcity, they must find a few on the Eels forums. :sarcasm:

I'm up for playing if they pick me but I will be using a large wrench to sort out and soften up the opposition - It's win at all costs.

Haha,

Good to see you guys laughing it off. Pretty horrid luck with injuries this season...

Thanks for the good will and empathy bro.

Apparently we have around 17 players injured, some who are still playing week to week.
In spite of all his mistakes/stuff-ups/lack-of-experience, I really love the way Brad Arthur has kept it together and grown stronger and smarter too. Our club will be better for it next season and possibly with what remains of this season.

PARRAMATTA have suffered yet another season-ending injury blow with centre Brad Takairangi ruled out for the remainder of the year with a broken foot.
Takairangi is booked in for surgery today with the recovery process set to take up to seven weeks.
One of the Eels’ most consistent performers throughout the club’s torrid 2015 season campaign, Takairangi was originally named to take on the Sydney Roosters on Saturday night despite suffering the injury last weekend in Parramatta’s victory over Penrith in Darwin.
