Crap news for AMS... we've had a few backs get injury upon injury in recent seasons.

Good news re Doorey. On form this year he'd be competing for a regular spot on NRL bench - assuming that Lane and Kautoga remain the untouchable starting edge choices for Ryles...

Yeah, Lane may have done enough to keep his spot and if Ryles sticks with Hopgood to start at 9 then he needs Guymer to start at 13.

Kautoga won't make way for Doorey and the bench needs Sam, Walker, Smith and Moretti.

Lane actually was decent on the weekend defending well...

Kautogo has a way to go as I have said his defence is his major problem. After watching the replay he was worse than I thought at the game.

Doorey will have to bide his time in CUP me thinks. Play him in the front row.

An learnt to tackle consistently, which to me is the main flaw to be worked on (preferrably in Cup, alternating a month there with a month in NRL/NRL bench).

And Pou's Squad Succession thread names Doorey as an edge... so that's obviously the prime source of all truth

We have the bye after the Tigers match.. maybe best if still unsure to wait til then. Of course want to see him back on deck asap but not worth risking if not 100%.
The added bonus is I believe he then won't be picked for origin as he probably doesn't come into calculations with only a game or 2 under his belt and Lozza goes with Luai and Cleary as the halves

Seems to have been kept pretty hush and I'm worried this is a Williams situation, where we find out on Friday that he is out for 6 weeks...

Well he went on to play and then kick the winning field goal. I assume it can’t be too bad.

Thats what I thought too, but the last few weeks players seem to miss games and not pop up on injury reports for a few days or even a week or two (Moretti, Cartwright, Williams).

Williams finished the Dogs game and then needed surgery and we only knew a week later, so I was just wondering if they have said Lomax is fine or anything.

They made a very specific point he injured it in the dogs game but named him in the 17 and then didnt say anything about the injury until Saturday morning the following week.

If he injured his knee in the Dogs game wouldn't he known once it cooled down the next day in recovery and get tested then to look at it.

The timeline didnt add up right with normal circumstances when it comes to those injuries.

Believe it was a toe injury, think it was MMM that it was reported on back on the weekend.

it did look like an ankle at the time however, but if it was that bad you wouldn’t have thought he would be kicking field goals.
