Yeah, Stevens may be the exception to what I wa talking about , I guess raper could have left an interchange out there.

But confidence surely is a GAIN from the match ? how can you say they got NOTHING from playing it ? that's not true and you know it mate :) confidence is what can win and lose footy games and we got some yesterday, thats a plus in my book.

If the coaching staff & players think that by playing a team short on a player & with over half of the team in doubt on game day because of injuires, is prrof they have turned the corner, then they will get smahsed in their remaining games.

that's not what I'm saying, I'm saying they gained confidence , heck, running in 68 pts against any team will give confidence, they will also gain confidence that they rushed the line in defence and belted blokes.

well if they can play like that, against other teams, i will be fluffed up like no other.
I just dont see it happening that way. We are playing 2 teams that are going into their 4 semifinal week. racing each other away from the spoon.
If we beat them, it will actually be excellent momentum for the semis.

One would hope that a few semi wins doesn't satisfy anyone :)

If you get there you have to win the GF not just a few semis to make us feel fluffy. I'm over this win a few semis and be happy.

Anything other than a GF win is a failure. I've been around too long to accept less

I second your quote on the grand final victory is enough for me, because i know what we will here, if knocked out in semis, we went better then last year, and building towards 2006, i do not want to here that.

What i want to here is your 2005 nrl champions Cronulla Sutherland Sharks

All hail Cliff! Much better than that carrot-topped cream puff.

You maybe a cream puff yourself Sullyfan but you're spot on with your comment here. Cliffy was definetly 300 times better than Galloway has ever been.
Well picked Snoopy.
He's a champ and so are you bloke.

It was his second last home game and he was on the bench for about half an hour. He probably WANTED to go on for the last time, just to soak it up.

Ever think of that?

Cheers ima!

I was nervous as hell watching him on the weekend with all the wraps i've given him but he made me one proud Snoop!

I agree that Stevo (with his old ricketty knees that are apparently the reason he's hanging up the boots) should have been rested.

I'm also dubious as to why Bailey was playing at all in the 2nd half...When the game was all but over, you'd think you'd bench a bloke who is still recovering from a broken arm.

Stevo and Bails wouldn't have gained anything in confidence or game planning by staying out there. Sure, leave Noddy, because he has been lacking in confidence and the young blokes need all the time they can to get to know his plays.

Fair point shark about noddy.
although, It would have crossed my mind to take him outta there.
You think broncs would have let webcke keep playing with 30 to go 50 in front?

Not a chance. Petero probably would have gotten a break too, bench permitting!

Stevo WAS hanging to get back out there. They tried to drag him from the field before his meat pie in the first half, he stayed on and got his try ! :)

Speaking of which, I backed Stevo for 1st try scorer at $61 on sports bet. He broke thru and passed the ball from 7 metres out for Noddy's 1st try, the 1st try of the game.
