We have won 8 out of the 12 games which Dylan Farrell has played.

We have lost all 6 games in which he wasn't named.

In summary, if Dylan Farrell doesn't play we don't win.

Thank you for listening.

Well lets hope they find a way to win without him soon because there is no question he is the weakest link in the team and it's unlikely the team can win any really big games with him in the team. Of course he didn't play 'badly' on Sunday. It's just that he looks about as fast as an average prop. Slower than some.

How is he the weakest link? Do you think our edge defence on the right looked BETTER when he has been out? I certainly didn't! Defensively he is close to, if not our best outside back in the squad.

Ok he's not the fastest man on the planet, but neither is Jason Nightingale or Euan Aitken. Neither was Beau Scott when he filled in the centres for us.

Yes and Beau Scott is/was a great player and they couldn't win any really big games with at centre either. One could make an argument that Scott at centre was that teams weakest ink. When he moved to second row, he was one of it's pillars. Can Farrell play second row?

If the team had even a reasonably fast winger Newcastle wouldn't have scored their second half try (at least not on that play) and when Dugan made that break early in the first half a faster winger would have been able to run around on the inside of Dugan and accept a pass for a try near or under the posts. 10 points better team right there.

He mightn't be the fastest but defends very well. In the game where we beat the dogs Tony Williams was running at him all the time and I thought he did a great job. To be honest I think Nighty has been playing wounded most of the year and has offered nothing more than Farrell.

We didn't win any 'really big games' with Beau Scott as centre? Define a 'really big game'.

We won plenty throughout 09-10 with Scott at centre and a whole range of other makeshift arrangements. I take it you were watching during that period.

Farrell kicked the ball which was charged down and played out. If he did not kick he would have been run out. From memory Saints scored in the next set of play. Are you only going to point out errors?

Every player did one on Saturday after the 2nd try till half time. All players had shockers which led to Newcastle getting 20 pts not just Farrell. They turned it around though and good for them. Lets hope it continues on Saturday.

Leon Bott was lightning fast. So was Roy Bell. Whatever happened to those guys?

Speed is great, but it's not everything.

And FFS, if you don't mind will you please explain your choice of avatar? Every time I see it I get annoyed. I don't support Chinese Red capitalists any more than any other capitalists (actually, they appear slightly better than the ruling capitalists of the West) but this is a sports forum.

Nabuli has almost the same stats as well as missing less tackles, making less mistakes and makes more metres than Farrell.

So there you go.

Except we've won games without Nabuli. We haven't won any without Farrell.

By the way - do you care to qualify any of those stats or should we just take your word for it?
