Which team will Rangi Chase play for this year as he played for both the Exiles and England last year?
He will be the referee.Which team will Rangi Chase play for this year as he played for both the Exiles and England last year?
i'm deadset against multi nation "combination teams" a la great britain........but i do see the merits of having somekind of "celtic tigers" team made up of welsh, scots & irish players...and its the celtic tgers that go on tours ( and england) instead of bring back GB that would have 17 englishmen in the team thus bringing absolutely c**k all to the welsh, irish & scot
abit of a under developed brain fart...but i thought i'd throw it out there
Huddersfield will be the place to be on the fourth of July when the stars of England and the Exiles look to earn their stripes in the second game of the International Origin Series at Galpharm Stadium.
The re-match between Englands elite players and the best overseas stars from the Stobart Super League will kick off at 7.45pm on Wednesday July 4 and fans are urged to move quickly to secure their seat for one of the highlights of the representative calendar.
England and the Exiles do battle in the opening game of the International Origin Series at Langtree Park, St Helens, on Saturday June 16 and with pride and glory up for grabs, a memorable contest is guaranteed.
Its great that representative action is returning to the Galpharm Stadium, its a fantastic facility and Im sure it will help bring out the best in all the players involved, said England coach Steve McNamara.
Theres a real appetite to be involved in the International Origin Series from every player in Super League and with two fixtures to play I think we will see the intensity reach new heights this summer.
The Exiles will be coached by Daniel Anderson, the former St Helens, New Zealand Warriors and Parramatta Eels coach who is returning from Australia to take charge of the cream of Super Leagues overseas talent.
Many of our players have strong memories of matches at the Galpharm Stadium and its fantastic news that well be following up the opening match at Langtree Park with the second fixture at another outstanding venue, said Anderson.
Tickets for both matches in the International Origin Series are now on general sale and can be purchased through the RFL Ticket office on 0844 856 1113 or by visiting www.rugbyleaguetickets.co.uk.
Tickets for the opening fixture at Langtree Park, St Helens, on Saturday June 16 (6.45pm) cost from £18 (£9 concessions) for standing and £21 (£10 concessions) seating. Tickets for the all-seater second fixture at Galpharm Stadium, Huddersfield, on Wednesday July 4 (7.45pm) cost from £21 (£10 concessions).
Community groups and clubs can take advantage of a fantastic ticket offer with the RFL launching a group ticket deal whereby fans can take advantage of a seated match ticket, an England replica shirt and an Exiles replica shirt for only £44.00 for an adult and £34.00 for a concession (senior citizen over 65 and junior under-16). To take advantage of the group deal, please contact Ray Tennant 07595 520338 or Bev Coleman 07595 520578 and show your support for England and international Rugby League this summer.
