You might of enjoyed the atmosphere so that’s good I suppose
but as a Aussie supporter at home is it concerning?

I think you are correct with the underdog assessment
1. Aussie supporters probably expected a high scoring walk over (Boring)
2. The Tongan's making the final had them out in droves. Many wearing both Aussie and Tongan kits
The game may have attracted more Aussie support had NZ made the final, but I too was surprised there was not more Aussie support.
