Introducing the Eels Member Council

Evening all,

I am extremely pleased to announce the launch of the Eels Member Council.

As part of our bid to establish the largest and most engaged Membership base in Australian sport, the Member Council is the first step of our plans to create an open dialogue with our Members on how we improve the Member and fan experience.

Member Councillors will meet bimonthly and have input into issues such as Loyalty and Recognition and Match Day Experience.

Fans/members have been calling out for a similar idea since at least 2008, and its great to see club management take this step .

It's also great to see the candidate registration page for the Member Council also include people who are lapsed members, or have never been members.

Unfortunately many of the potential Council candidates who frequent this forum might not qualify for the following criteria... ;-).

• Openness to considering other Members’ interests and experiences in the course of discussion to create the best Membership experience across the entire Parramatta Eels fan base

But seriously, I'd encourage any forum member here who likes discussing ideas and canvassing suggestions from a range of supporters to give this a go. The club is giving us a chance as fans to contribute in a recognised, effective, non-political way, and there are some really good people here (you know who you are) that should put themselves up as candidates for this opportunity :thumn:.
