When has inu ever f'd up? You all keep acting like he has these massive clangers on a regular basis and I can't recall one ever. This is no sam burgess.
His one problem is the same problem a lot of the naturally gifted freakish players have, and that is not-trying. Sometimes he can't be bothered to play hard. Still doesn't make mistakes, just doesn't do anything. Freakish talents haven't necessarily developed a top work ethic, because they didn't need one.
Inglis and Hayne have had whole seasons of just going through the motions too, but you know what they can do, and you know when push comes to shove in an inspiringly challenging game they will rise. This is why you should ignore "form" with such players and throw them in, knowing that no one is going to get the better of them. If they are under fire from a talented player they will be inspired to meet that challenge and prove their own talent, rather than just be run over and humiliated like an "in form" "hard working" inferior loser like goodwin or nightingale will.
Oh they're great, RTS and Whare deserve their spots and are legit star players, but they're not as good as Inu. If push came to shove inu would get the better of them. You can't say how valuable Inu might have been in this WC if he was used. I have no doubt he'd have a reel of critical plays only he could have done. You don't miss them now because you assume no one could have scored that try or no one could have saved that try or no one could have caught that high-ball, so the moments where Inu would have done something amazing go by without a thought or second glance.
A couple of reminders for people here- Inu was in the squad that won the last world cup, and was arguably one of the best on the field in that game. He also debuted for NZ at fullback against australia in an anzac test, after one first grade game at the age of 20. New Zealand got drummed but Inu was easily their best player, rock solid under every high ball and made a number of try-saving tackles, was at times resisting australia by himself on a pathetic team.
For mine Inu would waltz into the kangaroo squad if he chose to be eligible, when you're speaking of a talent of that magnitude you make allowances for form slumps and complacency. Just like the maroons and australia have with GI and even hodges, and they were right to. Ofcourse you pick them, who are the maroons or roos to NOT pick them? Regardless of their form or recent motivation levels? Similarly who the f are the kiwis to not pick Inu? They need to get real. Inu could potentially win the world cup for new zealand, and not picking him could lose it.
Inu is notoriously not well liked by coaches because, like I said, his effort can go missing and this is obviously a pet hate for coaches. No doubt why he's dropped from this NZ team too in place of try-hard losers like goodwin, it's based on what happens at training more than in game. These coaches need to get over themselves and pick their best players. Rather than being petty and trying to teach people lessons about discipline while their team of untalented losers are being run over by superior specimens of man. Neither the bulldogs or NZ can afford to not play Inu based on some stupid shit like him not putting in the hard yards, they replace him with some weakling nerd who can't play but tries really hard and then predictably get trucked. When will they learn?Tone83 must be related to Inu or an Inu stalker. If Inu is all that than why did Des Hasler drop him for the most important game of the dogs season this year?
Whare and RTS should be the first backs picked. NZ wouldn't be in the final without them. RTS has scored a heap of tries and Whare has been a big part of many of the tries NZ have scored and a gun in defence.
Inu is nowhere near as consistent or reliable as these guys to be the second player picked. I'd certainly have him ahead of Goodwin. But he is easily as likely to come up with a play that could cost NZ the game as he is to come up with one that would win it.
With your wisdom and knowledge I'm surprised you're not a multiple premiership winning coach.Lol ok that's a mistake, I was just going by memory but now I remember being annoyed when he was dropped from that team too. It was stupid then too. He was the best on the field the week before he got dropped. He gets dropped for shit that happens at training.

It's similar to the Dave Taylor situation, coaches focus so much on Dave Taylor's lack of effort or poor discipline or whatever and think they're genius for leaving him out, but then they put in some loser who is no where near as good as Taylor in any department and they fail to see the stupidity in that. If you weigh everything up and compare, a lazy dave taylor or inu is still way way way better than most players, their weakness is bouts of laziness, goodwin's weakness is being really bad at rugby league, the latter is a far more critical flaw and should consistently result in goodwin never being selected for the team he's trying to get into, any team. Let alone ahead of inu, a great freakishly gifted player. Teach him a lesson some other way, take away his xbox priviledges or something, but leave him on the field because he's too good and his potential replacements are utter shit.
