On the bright side we have better cover of the centre positions than we did last year.
Konnie is still WIP and I thought that due to his greenness we'd be seeing him later in the season, but I see the rationale and have been happy with him being there. The fitness is obviously one of the things he needs to improve on, then reading the defensive game better. I think it will all come in time.
JBro was awful in his first game back, but again will get better. For mine Inu would give better results for now.
Benry has more speed than Brown and if we have to squeeze a forward into the centres he'd be it and is showing some signs of that.
So I see three options are all superior to last year (and which screams the question as to why Cleary was so stubborn about keeping Inu on the outer for so long back then), and all these options have considerable prospects for further improvement.
And yes our wings seem alrightish too.
Are we still hand-wringing a bit too much over the woes we experienced last year?
The only downer here is that we're all talking it up on the back of a win against the Titans who really didn't ask that many questions of us. I expect we'll be able to make far clearer and better opinioned judgement after the next few games.
