Just watching back the game from last night. In the highlights the shot played off the last ball of the innings by the CSK batsman. Maybe I just got sold a furfy when I was a kid and when I started in Under 11s but I always thought it was illegal to use the back of the bat.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Watson was an injury prone nobody back then and Symonds was one of the most devastating batsman in world cricket and also the best fielder in world cricket

Symonds may have been devastating..not 1.5 million devastating. Put it this way if you had to choose between Dhoni and Symonds you would pick Dhoni every time, even 3 years ago. They both fetched the same amount at auction. It was dumb buying. The smarter teams have depth and not so many key big name purchases.

Mitch Marsh made his debut last night for Deccan as they beat Bangalore.

Marsh took 1/37 off 4 but wasnt required with the bat

Cam White batted at the end and made 13* off 3 balls

Symonds was 54* off 25 balls getting the win

Mitch Marsh looks a good prospect, was abit nervous to begin with but got up to a decent pace (mid to high 130's) and looks to have a good action. The commentators were saying with his action and the fact he's only 18 he'll only get quicker once he gets bigger and stronger. Herschelle Gibbs said that the kid reminded him of Brian McMillan due to his build and his large hands, hopefully he keeps bowling because fast bowling all rounders are like gold dust

I think his action is abit smoother than Watson's. Shane use to muscle the ball almost, Mitch looks abit taller and has a more upright smoother action.
