Will leaving my Ipod on the charger constantly do any sort of damage to the battery, like weaken it?

I've heard it happens to mobile phones, if you charge while the Battery is still full it can weaken the battery over time and it needs to be charged more frequently over time.

The official word from Apple is no, leaving the charger in won't damage the battery.

That said I always disconnect when I notice it's fully charged, but don't get too stressed if I don't get to it straight away.

it does weaken it - but you can replace the battery (search the net and you can find instructions easy enough)
it doesnt weaken it significantly, but it is noticable - not as bad as mobile phones though.

like 'lectrica said - its best to disconnect when fully charged

The most important thing is to charge the battery only when it is completely drained.

Charging when half done will affect it.
