Apparently the NRL has discussed this option.. LOL.

The NRL club grant will be 130% of the salary cap and Wests already have first class training facilities. On top of that there is revenue from sponsorships and memberships. They should be able to run the knights without having to spend much of their own money.
What worries me is whether or not they'll be inclined to spend big dollars to attract top quality staff/management and to pay for all the things that may add an extra 1-2% to our onfield performances.
I can see us very happily fitting into the middle tier of clubs under Wests ownership, but not sure if we'd ever be one of the top 3-4 clubs clubs.
Owning a club isn't a 1 TV deal term,
Sure the NRL and chipping in %130 of the salary cap for this deal, what about the next one, the one after etc?
The Knights wont be moved for sure, but talking of a Sydney team that needs to be moved it should be the Roosters, for me they offer Sydney nothing. No crowds, no junior development and next to nothing on the TV deal. At least at Ipswich they would have crowds and lots of junior players in the area.Yeah, this ones a good one. Move a 1 city team when Sydney is still over run with teams.
Makes sense.
