does anyone know how Api Pewhairangi qualifies... he doesn't exactly have an irish name? he was born in palmerston north and has represented the maori!

No issue with the grandfather rule. You take what you can to build yourself up and heritage is important to people.

Dual Internationals though, no thanks. Its hard to explain to the newbies who may be at the Limerick game that one of the ours used to play for the them and only is playing for us because he wasn't good enough

Anyway, I've said enough on this matter already, no need to rehash. There's some bright sparks in the squad. I can't wait for the Pat Richards drop goal (which got a bit of coverage when it happened) to get some coverage again in the Irish media before the cup.

Simon Grix has pulled out due to injury. To be replaced by Matty Hadden, Belfast born and a product of the RLI who has been playing with Oxford RL in the Championship 1 in the Uk.

Good that they have brought in a legit Irish player but Grix being out is a huge blow to them.
