Seriously I am.

Lets be honest here, it had to take another loss to make the necessary changes to this team and if that means another loss then so be it. We have carried dead wood for 2+ years now. Hopefully we start to ship them out.

Out-

Ponting
Hughes (ordinary technique, needs to find form)
Hussey (yeah I know what people will say, but the bloke should retire after the Sydney test, he won't be there in 2012)
Smith (not ready yet)
Hilfenhaus (solid, but wouldn't even look likely to get Finn out the way he is going)
Beer (please pick a spinner that remotely spins the ball!)

In

Khawaja
Sean Marsh
Nic Maddinson (why the hell not!)
Paine (Haddin to play as a batsman)
Copeland
Boyce (punt on a legspinner)

So you would be happy that we keep picking players who are either ordinary test cricketers or past their best. So I am the only one thinking a bit long term!

Jeez thanks PB. Just you watch it or I'll start following Parra..and knowing my luck..well the results speak.

We need to lose this series. The only disappointment is that the Poms played trash in Perth, I was hoping for 4-0.

Problem with your happiness its great we are losing theory locky, is that it wont change thigns too much

Sutherland is off contract (talk of Gallop taking over) next year

Guys like ChappellG and Nielson are here to stay for a couple of years

Ponting has his own ticket, he might step down, then again he might want t ogo at it one last time in 2013

I have a bad feeling we will have to put up with these Muppets for a few more years :( No one in Australian Cricket is willing to make some tough decisions.

Yes I suspect the "review" will be nothing more then an AFL style, sweep it under the carpet job.
Hildud's the only one going at this stage, unfortunatly.

You'd play haddin as a specialist batsman at 6? I don't think he's good enough to bat any higher then that.

Short term yes, he is in our top 6 batsmen available. Paine is a fractionally better keeper, and is a long term option not only as keeper by as captain.

Smith isn't ready yet even though he averages 42 with the bat compared to Cameron Boyce 7 and 44 with the ball with a strike rate of 68 compared to Boyce 55 at 88.
If smith isn't ready yet Boyce is nowhere near ready

Two different positions, Boyce is being picked as a full time legspinner. Smith is a batsman that can bowl. Smith is averaging 20 with the bat this year..lets not pretend he is in form. Boyce deserves a crack.
