After all the shit this club went through in the early years, we've really turned it around - our merchandise sales are apparently the best of the Sydney clubs, our home ground average has been amongst the best for the past 6 years, we've got a plethora of sponsors......I mean, do we really want to jeopardise that? I'm all for giving a guy a second chance, but Carney has had about 3 "last" chances and he just keeps stuffing up. I agree this latest thing is a bit of a non-event but the fact remains, he breached team protocol.
So is he worth the trouble? No. He's a talented footballer who still has a number of flaws in his game and I just struggle to see him co-existing with Benji & Farah - not enough touches to go around.
