From Internet Dictionaries including Oxford: LIE =

b) to say or write something that you know is not true (You could see from his face that he was lying.)

c) lie (to somebody) (about something) Don't lie to me!

d) She lies about her age

e) The camera cannot lie (= give a false impression).

f) lie your way into/out of something (to get yourself into or out of a situation by lying)

g) lie through your teeth (informal) to say something that is not true at all (The witness was clearly lying through his teeth.)

h) a statement made by somebody knowing that it is not true

i) a barefaced lie (= a lie that is deliberate and shocking)

j) give the lie to something (formal) to show that something is not true (These new figures give the lie to the belief that unemployment is going
down.)

k) I tell a lie (British English, informal) used to say that something you have just said is not true or correct )We first met in 2006, no, I tell a lie, it was 2007.)

l) give the lie to serve to show that serve to show that (something seemingly apparent or previously stated or believed) is not true: these figures give the lie to the notion that Britain is excessively strike-ridden.

m) I tell a lie (or that's a lie) inf. an expression used to correct oneself immediately when one realizes that one has made an incorrect remark: I never used to dream—I tell a lie, I did dream when I was little. lie through one's teeth inf. tell an outright lie without remorse.

n) (lie one's way into/out of) get oneself into or out of a situation by lying: you lied your way on to this voyage by implying you were an experienced sailor.

o) used with reference to a situation involving deception or founded on a mistaken impression: all their married life she had been living a lie. • v. (lies , lied , ly·ing / ˈlī-ing/ ) [intr.] tell a lie or lies: why had Wesley lied about his visit to Philadelphia? [with direct speech] “I am sixty-five,” she lied.

Jodeci, don't waste your breath dude, when people have no idea and comment on what the board are doing it just makes me laugh.

To call Roy a liar, well that will do me ... YOU SERIOUSLY HAVE NO FRIGGIN IDEA ...

1. Don't worry this is MY OPINION and i have every right to express it ...

2. And if you think about it who in their right mind will tell the media oh yeah, we are going to sack anderson at the end of the year, and replace him with Kearney, they gave him every opportunity to save his job by getting the team into the 8 and having a crack at winning.

Making a Grand Final and then not coming close the next season just goes to show he doesn't cut the mustard.

3. I for one am glad he is gone, we have the best young coach coming through the NRL, he has been part of a system with the storm, their under 20's last season won the comp, he has been part of it and he has learned what it takes to be part of a club that has won premierships and the kind of work that is needed to get a premiership.

4. Regardless of them cheating, look at the storm they had nothing to play for but they won more games then they lost .. just goes to show a culture and when you listen to the players they all know and understand their roles within the team.

Daniel Anderson was not the right person for the job and in 2 seasons he has proved it, he was lucky that last year we had the magic run and we made the final, just goes to prove we were a top 4 team and this year we added talent to the roster and we finished 12th. during the regular season how long were we in the top 8 for?

I know Roy personally and i take offense to this ridiculous comments towards him that have no merit.

So basically when you have no idea don't make out like you do ....

1. Definitely. As am I & everyone else on this forum. Funny thing is, I understand (& can accept) no one has to agree with my opinion.

2. I for one do not believe that for a second. IN MY OPINION:
For whatever reason (believe want you want: because Fitzy hired him or because a deal was done when 3P came into power or whatever "theory" you choose to subscribe to), they did not want Anderson there - they wanted Kearney. I remember stories back at the start of the 2009 season in the Telecrap sprouting how Parramatta had chosen the wrong coach & how they would have been better off had they chosen Kearney (I believe they were written by Rothfield, can't find a link). It looks very much to me like Anderson was "limited" in his powers regarding the makeup of the team. IN MY OPINION (remember, I am just as entitled to one as you), this current administration has made life as difficult as they legally could for Anderson - not they other way around. Until the "truth" comes out, it is all "he said, she said" anyway.

3. Fine. Get excited about the "best young coach coming through the NRL". I for one would prefer to have stayed with Anderson. Can't imagine why...

Anderson:
1994: Coached Parramatta's Harold Matthews side to the title.
1995-1998: Parramatta Eels Development Officer.
1999: Coached Parramatta's First Division (Reserve Grade) to the title.
2000: Assistant Coach under Brian Smith for Parramatta's NRL team.
2001-2004: Coached the NZ Warriors. Became the first coach to get them to the top 8 (2001). Coached them to the GF (runners-up) in 2002 & won Dally M Coach of the Year (2002).
2004-2005: Coach of NZ National Team.
2006-2008: Coached St Helens in the ESL, winning the Challenge Cup 2006, 2007 & 2008, winning the SuperLeague title in 2006, BBC Coach of the Year (2006), winning the World Club Challenge in 2007, runner up in the 2007 & 2008 SuperLeague GF's.
2009-2010: Parramatta Eels NRL Coach. NRL Runners Up in 2009(first coach to get a team to the GF from 8th place since the inception of the McIntyre System).

Kearney:
2006-2010: Assistant coach for the Melbourne Storm (under Craig Bellamy) who systematically CHEATED the salary cap for 5 years.
2008-present: NZ National Coach, coached NZ to the Rugby League World Cup title in 2008 (assisted by Wayne Bennett).

4. Funny you are so willing to overlook this aspect of the Storm's "successes". Call me old-fashioned but that would be one reason NOT to have any faith in someone coming from such as organisation.

Anyway, we shall see what happens in 2011...

You are def entitled to your opinion and have every right to express it.

Funny thing is Anderson wanted an extension to his contract and looking at his past two season as head coach first year we went on a miracle run form 8th to GF ... but the Epic FAIL of his second season did not warrant him in My Opinion of a contract extension ...

The Board took that view and the rest is history ...

how many weeks were we in the top 8 in 2010 ... how many home games did we win ... ect ect ect ...

Anderson did not get his contract extension so we paid him out, new era begins with the new coach so move on ...

but hey that is just my humble opinion and no one has to agree with it ...

Looking forward to 2011 ...

I am so glad this post came from you otherwise it would have been classified as a "conspiracy theory".
