Well then, I guess in the end we weren't really lied to.
Just misled, misinformed and given very little clarification on anything.
Yay.

I also think that is why the board report has a lot of people asking questions, after his misleading and deliberate deceptive comments regarding the coach, people are starting to read between the lines in everything he says.
It is evident in the report regarding the profit/loss reporting so why should we take anything he says on face value.

From Internet Dictionaries including Oxford: LIE =

a)
an intentionally false statement

b)
to say or write something that you know is not true (You could see from his face that he was lying.)

c)
lie (to somebody) (about something) Don't lie to me!

d)
She lies about her age

e)
The camera cannot lie (= give a false impression).

f)
lie your way into/out of something (to get yourself into or out of a situation by lying)

g)
lie through your teeth (informal) to say something that is not true at all (The witness was clearly lying through his teeth.)

h)
a statement made by somebody knowing that it is not true

i)
a barefaced lie (= a lie that is deliberate and shocking)

j)
give the lie to something (formal) to show that something is not true (These new figures give the lie to the belief that unemployment is going
down.)

k)
I tell a lie (British English, informal) used to say that something you have just said is not true or correct )We first met in 2006, no, I tell a lie, it was 2007.)

l) give the lie to serve to show that serve to show that (something seemingly apparent or previously stated or believed) is not true: these figures give the lie to the notion that Britain is excessively strike-ridden.

m)
I tell a lie (or that's a lie) inf. an expression used to correct oneself immediately when one realizes that one has made an incorrect remark: I never used to dream—I tell a lie, I did dream when I was little. lie through one's teeth inf. tell an outright lie without remorse.

n) (lie one's way into/out of) get oneself into or out of a situation by lying: you lied your way on to this voyage by implying you were an experienced sailor.

o) used with reference to a situation involving deception or founded on a mistaken impression: all their married life she had been living a lie. • v. (lies , lied , ly·ing / ˈlī-ing/ ) [intr.] tell a lie or lies: why had Wesley lied about his visit to Philadelphia? [with direct speech] “I am sixty-five,” she lied.

Well, forgive me if i'm wrong...
But didn't Ozzie confirm that DA's position as coach and his contract was safe earlier on in the year?
Now DA is gone and the point of the thread is to point out that he did lie about that.
Course, I can't remember exactly what was said then, but i'm fairly certain it was something along those lines.
I wonder how much of that detracted from fact.

One of the points is that MAYBE Anderson`s job WAS SAFE EARLIER IN THE YEAR. But the situation changed. That is a distinct possibilty. Also, if Osborne (or Spagnolo) had come out then and said "we can`t comment" or "Anderson`s job is in jeopardy" right in the middle of the season, that would have been suicide. Or if they said "Well, at this stage he`s safe, but if we don`t make the finals, he`s gone", that would be truthful but idiotic. Did you ever think that maybe they HAD TO LIE for the sake of the team, the fans and the club? Please tell me what in the f**k should they have said?
And I can just imagine what the board`s detractors would have said had they sacked Anderson without first finding a replacement. C`mon, give `em a break. They`ve only been in power for two years. Give them another few years before we kick them. And on the subject of Stephen Kearney, can anyone list all the other super-coaches who are out of work presently and just champing at the bit to caoch Parramatta? He was obviously the best choice in theory.

If 3P did not have an AGENDA to start with they would not have found themselves in this sh*t nor would any of this sh*t happened. It is the AGENDA set out from long-ago that got them into all this mess and they had to lie and lie through their teeth to the fans, the members, the players, the staff, etc, to protect their AGENDA....

Get over it dude, Anderson wanted an extension to his contract and the club felt that if you are going to say sign me or release me then they released him.

This thread keeps kicking on because of your agenda against Roy so if this is not political i got no idea what is ....
