Yeah totally agree with all your points. Results comes down to the head coach. Just a bit q miffed why you thought we'd smash them by 50, you must have had confidence in him as a coach yesterday?

Because I was merely baiting Souffs fans. And I thought that being sold out, and with all the publicity, we would be fired up and primed for a big one. When we are switched on (which is not often lately) we can beat any side.

I like what Sheens has done for us, he turned the club around when no one wanted a bar of us. He's made us competitive, and he brought us a comp. However, Warren Ryan once said that coaches have a shelf life at one club of three to four years - then they get stale. I agree with him.

Is it time for a change? Based on our form since winning the comp, I say yes.

And I agree. At the very least Royce has to go, our defence since '04 has gone backwards

Another slant on it---Sheens must be a super coach to get this playing squad anywhere near the eight. Yet he is the bloke who buys them!

Iam already having nightmares re 2008, I think we already have one hand on the spoon. If you dont have size you have to have skill and outside Farah we dont have any

Who picks the f**king players
Who picks the f**king defensive coach that has a squad of players unable to tackle or wrap a ball up after 4 yrs
Who signs a sh*t parramatta utility to play halfback
Who plays a centre to play 5/8
Shall i f**king go on

Why not? You usually do...

Having said that, after today I don't think the jury is out anymore. Sheens has to take responsibility for relying too heavily on one or two players. But ultimately it is the players who are not living up to this...

It's well and truly time for a cleanout.

We need a decent halves pairing. Marshall can only be relied on to pick up scraps at the moment. He is not creating points anymore... Morris showed today that even as a back-up hooker he is mediocre without a decent pack to work with. Fitzy must have taken up smoking or something cause he was way off pace when we needed him today. Whatuira can't pass. Lawrence can't tackle. Hodgson's still safe at the back but there doesn't seem to be much else he can do at the moment. We lack grit all over the park...

Bring on the off season.

We will despite all this still make the 8 as we play a side with an even worse defence than ours and Brisbane will be belted by a Parra side trying to host a home final. We'll get a trip to Melbourne out of it, a night out and a chance to see our heartless imposters coached by shines go down by 40 at the graveyard.

Sheens is out of ideas and I dare say the poster above has it spot on as to why he won't be punted. The payout costs too much.

Marshall is not a halfback. He is there because supercoach signed a f**king spastic to replace scott prince which has resulted in a great 5/8 being moved and at times the world's best hooker being moved.

Sheens is a buffoon who jagged a comp

I want to know one thing ??? Why were all our players constantly flat footed when we had the football ??? Hodgo and at times Benji were constantly looking for someone to hit the ball at pace, but only Ben Te`o and on the odd occasion Liam Fulton were ever willing. The players must lay a lot of the blame, but the coach should of had this drummed into their heads all week that we don`t have the worlds best playmakers, therefore it`s most important that we have plenty of willing runners getting deep and putting the defence in two minds. Our defence was disgracefull, but this aspect was even worse, just not acceptable for first grade footballers !!!

I think Sheens is contracted till the end of 2009, but I could be wrong.

I thought it was until the end of 2008 - he signed for three more years in 2005.

You are right,we should have consolidated our status as premiers with at least 1 or 2 big signings, instead we have lost better than we got.:?

Mate, they should have given Scott Prince what he wanted, live on the Gold Coast and fly down the day before each game to have a run with the boys.

John Morris is a good footballer but obviously hasn't done what he was bought for. To say he offers 'nothing' in the creativity department is an understatement.

Benji Marshall... Can't score a try these days unless someone drops the ball in front of him.

Jesus Christ I have seen it all now. The player who won us a comp by doing something freakish in every game in 05 and who we looked lost without last year is being turned upon, whilst his coach, who signs a f**king spastic from PArramatta to play half and who was so f**king sh*t meant he shifted to 5/8 and Bennji to half back, is lauded as a messiah.

Let Benji play with a proper halfback. Not a f**king geniused Newcastle winger trying to play 1/2 or 5/8. The buck for this season's appalling efforts lie at the foot of one T Shines. He signs the spastics. Fitzy could have had 2 tries yesterday if he was f**king awake but as usually he was 10m behind play dreaming up his next donut. Supercoach will make the f**king mong captain this week and the FWO will wank off into their Sara Lee apple pie over it.

He shoots, he scores. But I'm not blaming Benji, I'm lamenting the fact that he's not being given the chance to get his form back. Why hasn't Benji been given a week or two in PL to get some confidence back? A good question for the coach.

By the way - it's not '05 anymore. How many games has Benji played since the '05 grand final? You can't keep relying on a guy who hasn't played much football in the last two years (and has also spent the last two off-seasons in rehab), and has had a minimal impact when he has played by comparison to what we've come to expect of him...

Since it is the end of the season this is academic. Benji nailed it in his first week back against a sad Cowboys side, so it's tough to say he should have been asked to make his way back to first through BRET. But after the Titans and/or Roosters debacles, this should have been considered, even if just for a week. Now it is probably a touch too late so we might as well just ride it out and hope that we come up against another ghost of a side in Newcastle so that we can at least have a crack at the finals, for whatever that's worth...

A good injury free rep-season and then an off-season without a sling (let's all hope) might make all the difference for Benji in 2008, and that might make all the difference for our team...
