I dont think he came straight out demanding anything...he was probably pressed by a journo and answered accordingly.. his responses were fairly reasonable and he did acknowledge other in form players... he has set himself goals and is trying to do his best to achieve them... he is a victim of his versatility and explosiveness at the moment.
Some players need to be shown that being a bench player doesnt mean you are not elite...in some cases it shows that you have a special ability and shouldnt be wasted in the tough opening stances.

he has just about been the best player for the roosters in the opening rounds of the competition and that is playing out of position

he has not demanded anything, but said he would love to start and thinks he deserves it. he didnt say anything about demanding it otherwise he would of said, 'put me at hooker or i quit'

whether he will get first choice hooker we will see or not. For Aus, he may very well but priddis and smith will be pushing to as for nsw i think hes looking more and more likely as the 5/8 with bedsy being back however this depends on barrett and his own form.
