About to phone my mum, she'll be alright up in the Bay of Plenty (though doubtless having flashbacks to '87) but we've got relos in Kapiti amd Welly that probably got a good rattle.

If you're on lower ground, near Auckland, and you're worried, I have couches and I can sleep on the floor, and I live on bigass hill.

PM me if you want to call.

All good here in Chch

I'm probably a bit too casual with it all tbh, they don't really effect me but they stuff some others up big time

Back at work today for 1st time in 3 and a half weeks, turned up and was on my own lol, normally 5-6 people doing the job and already a day and a half behind before I started, good times

I'm ok thanks. No tsunami in Bangkok. Had an utterly shite round of golf yesterday though. So a bit grumpy.

Far north is stable....

The mean streets of Kaikohe were rocking last night but it had nothing to do with an earthquake. ..

Been in Auckland to meet new niece (very cute) and go to the NJPW wrestling (very fun show), but on way to airport now to fly home to Welly.

Have confirmed with flatties the house is still standing, and my messy room wasn't magically tidied up by the earthquake (one day!). But a little bit trepidatious all the same.

Same boat. Kids slept through and I really didn't think it was that bad....long and rolling, but seemed pretty benign at the time.

I've found a lot of differing opinions from various mates in Welly, some think it felt worse than the last "big" one in 2014 (the Friday afternoon one), some think it wasn't as bad.

Guess it depends what structure you were in each time, also being woken in the wee hours would feel comparably worse to middle of day when theres lots of activity already.

Hope everyone and their friends/family OK though wherever they are.
