Is farah now a long term half back?

On yesterday's form I could handle Farah as a longterm half-back, but I think the fact Hodgo wasn't around needs to be taken as a factor contributing to that form...

As has been said elsewhere, no Hodgo on the park and moving Morris to 9 where he's a bit more limited in what he needs to avoid f*cking up amounted to a drastic simplification of the Tigers' game. A hooker getting the forwards moving, with a halfback keeping an eye on the bigger picture... A five-eighth stepping in and making a big play from time to time, and a fullback hanging back and looking for chances to back up a tackle break etc...

Given that Hodgo is off to the UK next year and we still haven't signed a halfback it will be interesting to see if Farah does get a run there next season. I've been a defender of Head over the last few weeks, putting the blame on Sheens for not giving him enough creative control, but I think he got shown up by Farah yesterday. Sure, Head might have taken a bit more control without Hodgo around as well, so we'll never know for sure... But it goes to show what you can do with a halfback who is ready to take on the line...

ive always wanted to see him have a run at 7 considering in his younger days he was a 7, in saying this i think its too early to be saying he is the fulltime 7, maybe give him a bit of time and go from there

I seriously think Josh Lewis should and will be our permanent halfback for 2009.

Farah is a 9 first and foremost.

farah is a cut above. if he was given the 7 permanently and told look son 7 gets bigger bucks than 9 i reckon he'd brain it (so long as shines gives him a decent pack to work off). certainly don't think it would hurt his rep chances any going by what nsw threw up in the 7 this year. if you had thurston or prince in the side then yeah 9 it is, but there ain't too many other 7's that robbie isn't a better player than. morris 9 / farah 7 is infinitely better than the reverse, saves robbie's back, and puts a very good defender in the halves to take some of the heat off bunji. just because he is wearing a 7 doesn't mean he can't jump into dummy half whenever he sniffs an opportunity.

I still think Head is a better option at 7 with Farah at 9, as long as we don't have both our halves defending in the centres. But with Head injured I think Farah at 7 and Morris at 9 is definitely the best option.

I would rather Morris at 7 and leave Farah at 9. Im no Morris fan but with superstars like our 6 and 9 Morris would not need to get involved to much.
