Is Finch the answer??

Well, I guess we have to ask the question, is Finch the playmaker to lead any side.

At the moment he appears to be a runner and a chaser, more like a back up hooker, all endeavour and little in the way of creativity.

I like what he puts into the game, but would we be better to look at someone to run the show, I am not sure I support his resigning on more than average money.

Ron, I think Tim is/was a much better half, the "media" and Roy Hardley go their wish.

I understand the option for next year for the coach is in the club's favour, big decision to be made there too.

We really miss Tim in the oppositions 20 metre line, his short kicking game created countless tries for us, without it Finch has no variety in his play making, he's just solid.

I'm starting too agree about Hagan, our side just looks poorly coached, we should be looking at our options, i was filthy we didn't go after Bennett.

As i said in other posts, i'll be stunned if we offer him more then $200,000 a year, imo he's only worth $150,000.

the main problem is the lack of quality halves in the game these days, let alone on the open market. i agree that Finch is not worth the $$$ that is being suggested we will be paying him, but we have little options. yeah, we have talent coming through, but they are young and need time to develop. in the mean time we need someone to step into the breach that has been left by Smith leaving.

major question marks would have to be placed on Barrett after 2 years in ESL (look what t did to Lyon) and his $$$ is ridiculous. Head has major injury worries over him, Soward has not stamped his class on 2 clubs now.

who else is out there that are viable options??

I dont mind Finch in our side, but he's more a boat steer then anything, which we do need, a gun 5/8 is needed, a specialized 5/8 that is.

i actually think he would do a good job at S.O.O. if he had the right combinations around him.

he seems to perform best when he doesn't have to do all of the thinking and organising, asshown when he had a good combination with Fittler. last year when the team was firing he did a good job.

he is a tough, competitive little fella...just doesn't seem quite up to being in charge of leadinga team around the park on his own.

Keating seemed to come up with some good passes today. Thats what i gathered from listening to the radio.

At 7, he is not the answer. However he is a competent 5/8th. I think Hagan has caught on because Keating was playing at 7.

finchy went ok in the 2nd half considering he was backing up ..... but yeah i don't think he's worth throwing a tonne of money at for multiple seasons ..... KK was the spark in the 2nd half

KK is a champion and a winner and exactly the breath of fresh air that we need. he made Sammut look ordinary when he opposed him at 7.
