Is John Morris going to be a big recruiter in the player market during his years as head coach.

I think he will go into the market where he needs to and where we are lacking. No doubt the club will be looking for a winger or two, but anything else I am confident we can call upon our depth when needed,

Yes while we have depth.

Cap for 2020 is 9.8 mill less our penalty of 350,000 (thereabouts) means we operate on 9.45 mill I reckon.

That may mean one less depth player plus inability to bolster depth.

This is what has happened to the Dogs.

Need a real smart cap manager.

How many players to the Sharks have to supply to Newtown?

Too and Hiroti getting debuts this week. Will watch with interest, especially Hiroti.

Interested in them because the others mostly suck or will be out of the price range e.g Oates who I think will be in the cardinal and myrtle.

Of the established snorkels I would only look at Rapana because he’s a mongrel and Thompson because you get a lot of bang for your buck even if he is shortish. Not many seem to be outjumping the little prick though

From a wingers perspective, why not Dugan & Capewell with a couple of young guys as backups we see Ronaldo coming through system, the 20's are leading comp again, and maybe pick up cheapie outside back.

Capewell of all talk going to Warriors nothing has happened can he play wing, i think it could work has size is not slow, and it would give us 2 big wingers who will make yardage coming out of own half, have size to finish off tries, Capewll might not be the fastest, but if you recall Covell wasnt fatest but worked out well

How many positions do you want Dugan to play?

Have we cloned him? Hope the scientists spliced a resilience gene in.

Roosters should have room for him, cos they ‘manage the cap better’...

I’d be watching their 3/4 availabilities closely.

If Hall comes back well, Brett Morris comes back well and they get added to Tupou/Manu/Mitchell/Ikuvalu who is improving they will have to shed

They also have a kid called Bernard Lewis making an ACL comeback this year who probably would have been in the side over Ikuvala. Cairns boy.

Fast little fat kid!

Its the advantage we have getting rookies experience for the next 2 years.
If someone like Capewell wants $400k he will have to go elsewhere.

But the players coming through now and next cab off the rank will make it easy for us to combat a hit.
Plus, there are good wingers available in Flegg, NSW Cup and QLD Cup that would be able to make a difference with Speed and height and won't cost us a fortune.

If he can be crafted into a good one I'm all for it.

I actually think he could be. Most of the Fijians I can think of start slow and clunky but seem to learn real fast. Seriously

Siva and Ravalawa are learning real quick

Kamikamika from the Storm will be a gun. The new Petero.

Vaginavalu was a dud. Remains a merkin. So was Radradra at first.

Anyway, waffling on. Just observations

Vunivalu scored 23 tries in his first year. He wasn't a dud.

Is a merkin though.

He was in other ways. Always out of position in defence. Still is. Part of the failing Storm right side. Got better when Chambers was there.

Struggled badly with the rolling ball. Couldn’t pass or kick.

Big try tally impressive but not the whole story. Just as it never was with Felix.

Also, it was a “soft comp” remember.

If Lume has the pace he can make it. He has the size. I haven't seen him at full speed though, whats he like?
