Having no interest in NFL doesn't make me an idiot mate, it just means I'm not a wannabe yank... ;-)

... moron.

And he could counter by saying that with a name like strong latte your a wannabe Mediterranean Descendant.

Get over yourself mate. Live a little.

How does having a name like strong latte mean I'm a wannabe Mediterranean Descendant? Do you THAT little about the NRL that you don't know that one of the smart ass names for roosters supporters is "the latte drinkers"??? I'm a proud latte drinker mate ;) At least I'm not like you, some sporting whore who supports any team because "you like their colours and logo"! You support Camberra, but live in brisbane and then go off supporting a pack on nancy boys in tights from a country where the battle to get creationism being taught in schools over evolution is actually being won!...
Nah sorry mate, it's a shite sport and no one in this country nor any other country outside the US and Canada will take any interest in it EVER! You can of course argue that large numbers of country's do play NFL, and they do!! Just like the Malaysian Aussie Rules team will tell you about AFL internationally

ha, no one in this country will take any interest? So what am I then mate? What are all the people who post in the NFL thread? They must be Americans!

And has it ever occurred to you that some people actually move house every now and then in their lives. Maybe when mummy and daddy kick you out of home you'll move away from your beloved Inner Sydney.

And dont bring American schooling/society into this, its completely irrelevant. I like NFL, its a great sport. I also like other sports who's country I may or may not particularly care for.

Thats what the end of my last post meant you moron  Didn't you understand it? I said it carries about as much interest as international AFL... which it does, otherwise we'd see Australian NFL teams on TV, and thats never gonna happen.

You don't have a clue do you mate? If I was a rich private school bred boy like yourself I may have time to watch sports like 'nancy yanky ball', but I work and while I have watched it on occasion, I would never let it eat in to what free time I have because I WORK! Something your probably not familiar with being a bandwagoning sports whore ;-)

Get over it mate, it's a shit sport that takes 4 hours to get 60 mins of game time...

WORK? You do not work; selling ectasy is a crime, not a job. And you can drop the anti-private school sentiment as well- it's not our fault that some kid from Waverley College out there in Roosters territory accidently stuck a thumbtack in your inflatable girlfriend

Bandwagon? Not exactly sure where your basis is for thar argument, because according to you NFL isnt popular in Austraila. So who's bandwagon am I jumping on? 8)

As for my work, whilst its none of your business, some of us are lucky enough to work in the sports industry - and watching different forms of sport actually means money to us ;-)

If it's none of my buisiness then why was it so prominent in your argument? Why do you feel the need to make up stories about working in the sports industry?
Look mate, when it comes down to it I couldn't give a f**k how much you want to be a yank... I prefer sports us Aussies play and have no interest in helping loud mouthed american culture infest our society with their crap any further, but as I stated I don't really wanna be a yank like yourself...

So lets just leave it at that aye mate ;-)

You can believe what you want, thats fine.

You sound just like those AFL blokes from down south, except they seem to think we are un-australian for liking a pommy sport such as rugby league.

Anyway mate, one day you'll grow up and take a look around.

Unless you've played a game of american football I can't take your bagging of it seriously, I used to give the sport heaps, got convinced to give it a run and its the toughest sport I've played, mentally and physically. I don't prefer it to league, but it's still great fun to play, support and watch. If you don't like it, fine, but we've heard it all before 'the games are too long' (coming from a country which calls cricket one of its national sports) 'the players are pussies' (has it ever occured to you that people might hit harder when they think they're protected by pads? I've seen more injuries in two seasons of gridiron than I ever did playing league for 6 years, and many more bone rattling hits), 'its american' (get over it). It's fine if you don't like it, but say that rather than 'its a shit sport', because it clearly isn't.

People Like you are why everyone hate your club.

loud mouthed american culture
Been To America Lately? No ..wait i have! You Know sh!t all about American Culture so shut the F*ck up.
Secondly, you call Paullyboy a wanna be Yank for liking a sport. That's gotta be one of the stupidest thing i've ever heard. But going along with your system, Your a wannabe Pom for following league. If your so Pro-Aus and negative to any where else then go follow AFL. At least that was invented here!

So until you get an at least half an idea about what you are talking about, Shut the F*ck up.

f**k you apologists make me sick! Your the type of wankers who spend most of your energy bagging union (also a much better game, and also one with a massive international following) when you know nothing about that, but as soon as someone has a go at yanky ball you start getting all antsi and shitty because "you don't get it" etc... Well I've watched my fair share of NFL thanks to this yank who works with me who insisted that Rugby League was simply "too primitive" and that "if you understood the NFL you admit it was a better sport than league" etc etc... So I watched some of it with him on fox a couple times, and yeah they put on big hits, but with the pads it just looks like toy soldiers bumping into each other and either way after one hit the action is over untill the next play anyway and you spend most of your time watching the coaches or commercials... so at the end of it we basically had another argument because I still came out of the experience thinking league was simply a BETTER GAME.
As for league not being Australian though, did it ever occur to you that our presence in the international game and the fact that we have been responsible for the majority of the evolution the game has under gone makes it more an Australian sport than British? What makes League different from the evolution gaelic football underwent to become the Aussie Rules? Also explain to me how "people like", who have no interest or respect for NFL, are the reason people hate the roosters... I couldn't quite work that one out, because I know alot of people who think gridiron is about as interesting as watching grass grow and I'm the only rooster supporter among them...

How about you shut the f**k up untill YOU get a clue mate!

Oh and no, I haven't been to America lately mate, I went there once and would probably visit the gaza strip before going back I liked it that much ;-)

When it comes down to it boys, my opinion hasn't been helped by the fact I've listened to yanks talk about how crap they think league is, with most of them thinking union and league are the same sport... So to hear a bunch of aussies helping their cause sorta shits me.

Has nothing to do with you not liking NFL more because All that matters to you is your opinion.

Well I'm done arguing with you. I went a bit over board in my first post above and yeh sorry for that but your mind is made up and no one is gunna change that. And I do agree with one thing though. League is a lot better.
