Is Marshall a great player?

Needs strong go forward but the Tigers just don't have it.

Some halves create good go forward for themselves by their organisation & direction. Benji doesn't do that as he's too ad-lib.

A great talent full of great potential. But he never produced greatness for a long enough period of time to be a great player in the same breath as a Inglis/Slater/Smith etc.

Remember they've only made the finals 3 seasons of 11 (including this one) since he has started his career. No truly great spine player what lead such an inconsistent team.

Fantastic player but has played with the worst forward pack in the comp for all but a couple of years. H played great last year in a poor side which was missing Galloway and Farah in the games they lost last year. This year the side is poor and a half doesn't fix a lack of forwards

He is a wonderful player when allowed to play his natural, instinctive running game. He is not a creative halfback and never will be. He has not had a decent half inside him in years, lui was potentially a long term partner but it took him a while to get used to the role. It was only 2-3 years ago that he was carving up the league, it seems some tigers fans have forgotten this though and are turning on him. Has been absolutely terrible this year though, again playing with no stable half and a pathetic forward pack bar woods and farah. Should improve when anasta returns.

The club should piss him off. I've seen enough from sironen, brooks and Moses to say theyll be fine in first grade. Then with the money from benji we could buy some fckin forwards and centers.

Thanks for the memories benji, go to France/Japan and earn $2mil a year for the next 10 years.

Well we never had an arguably great player for all 11 years like Wests have. I bet if we had GI for 11 years we'd make the finals much more than 3 times. Because GI actually is a great player. Like Smith, like Slater, like Thurston. Unlike Benji.

That's idiotic. There is nothing to show that the club is better off without him for 2-3 years at least. Why would you get rid of a player when there is nobody to take his place yet. As good as the three players are in the juniors, they are years off reaching their potential.

He is not and has never been a guy you can build a football around. The greats in terms of instinctive players also had the basics to fall back upon. Benji has none of those.

The excuse about the forwards is just that, an excuse. His unwillingness to run the ball at all this season is a disgrace.

f**k him off.

The simple reality is people bang on about how players will want to play with Benji. Well where the f**k are they. Benji makes Benji look brilliant when he is on. He makes his team mates look ordinary and throws game plans out the window every single game.

Never have I seen a player on such a wage f**k up time after time and so visibly not give a god damn about it. As long as he gets paid he is jus dandy. Sheens can carry the blame for that as much as Benji. Never has he had to face consequences for his selfish and idiotic play

We've scored 2 tries in the last 2 games, benji was involved in neither of them. Benji is currently the highest paid and worst player on the team, plus he looks like he doesn't give a shit.

Anasta, miller and sironen to look after the halves for this and next year, brooks and Moses will be ready by then.

If we got rid of him we would have had a great chance to get a handful of good first graders like tamou, Pritchard, papalii, Dylan Farrell, Kane Linnett etc instead of one over paid princess

The Tigers are crazy if they've given Marshall a new deal for massive money and 5 years, he's clearly lost a step.

If you aren't going to win games with him you're just as well to get rid and build for the future because Benji aint it.

I don't think any NRL club that invests 600k-1m long term in Benji will be able to win a premiership.

Do you have marquee players to sell t-shirts and be a footy show star, or do you have marquee players to help you be a premiership contender? Wests need to answer that question.

We'll see if and when Benji is re-signed.

Vic I don't know what you've seen in Sironen to think that he has a future in the halves. He looks like a good hole running centre to me and maybe a lock in a year or two. He has no creativity whatsoever.

As for Benji. I don't know what the f*ck he was doing last night. But he clearly didn't want to get involved. I think he's come back too early from this toe injury. The last 20 minutes, Farah was refusing to pass him the ball.

He hasn't even been close to mediocre for 2 years. Not sure which Benji you're watching.

He is just another Ben Roberts, can show up sides sometimes but mostly plays like a hack.
