Is Marshall a great player?

Benji absolutely shirks it when the going gets tough. Honestly some of Tim Sheens' Teflon must have rubbed off on Benji because I've never seen a bloke with his profile and pay packet get such a free ride from media and commentators.
To me he looks like he's bulked up abit too much and lost quite abit of pace, but you'd think abit of extra size would make him a better defender?
The tigers would be mad to re-sign him on the money he's asking for.

The manly game stick out in my mind, 1st tackle, 40m out, Benji puts in a kick that's easily cleaned up by Brett Stewart, was a bone-headed, low percentage play, yet Gould commends him for trying something and says he did it to keep Brett Stewart guessing, no Gus f**ked up, why can't you just admit it

Brett knew exactly where to be. Just like Barba knew exactly where to be on the third tackle of our first set last week. Because it is the same stupid f**king kick every time.

It is beyond a joke

It is galling. Can't see where our next win is going to come from at this stage. I'm very disappointed in Mick Potter.

Don't worry though. He has got his missus a gig calling the MMM Saturday game next week.

Move this pathetic sideshow to another club

I commend Potter for having the balls to drop him.

I would have gone the whole hog and demoted him to NSW Cup, but this will send the same message.

For years he has been able to do what he wants without any consequences thanks to the disgraceful culture that Sheens created.

It will be interesting to see his reaction. Should be the kick up the arse he needs to start performing. Alternatively he could have a sook about it and not respond.

Sure, it is a brave move. By why now? He just signed a massive career secured contract last week. Surely you do this the week before, not after.

Benji has carved up plenty of teams over the years.
Great player.
Even Andrew johns had shithouse periods in his career.

Maybe his dropping is out of respect .
Potter probably thinks he doesn't to be on the field when they get hammered by 60 this weekend.

If my sharks can put 30 on them ... God knows what I Inglis will do to them.

Will be interesting to see how the media spins it. The last coach (SK) to drop a big name, big salary player (Sandow) was bashed by the media even though Sandow probably deserved it. Will Pottet be treated the same I wonder given he's dropped the games golden boy.

He is just another Ben Roberts, can show up sides sometimes but mostly plays like a hack.

Yeah I think you're a little off comparing to Roberts but I tend to agree.
He's done some phenomenal stuff but its only ever in patches and he doesn't appear to have the sort of brain that is needed for an elite half or playmaker in the game (tries trick shots when they're clearly not going to work etc).
He's never really changed his game, he got more confidence and had a great run but when he's challenged he doesn't alter his game plan (if he actually ever has one).
