Is my google chrome infected?

Hey peeps,

I noticed that when I do a search out of my omnibar in chrome it comes up with a weird URL.

https://www.google.com.ua/search?q=nrl&oq=nrl&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i60j69i65l2j69i60j69i65.4839j0j1&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8

The bold part I noticed specifically.

Firstly the text all came up as a different language to which I changed to English not thinking much about it & then every search doesn't have me logged in to my google account which I find odd as it usually does.

I haven't logged in in case it was a trap.

Any Ideas?

The .ua extension usually indicates domains hosted in the Ukraine....

Google does have a (presumably legitimate) search domain google.com.ua, just like it does for loads of different countries. Your browser might have ended up showing search results from that location by accident, or by some (malware) misadventure?

This is how to fix what google search domain you are using:

You should check your computer for malware/hijacking/infection etc though, just to be safe.

Pretty sure the extension for Ukrane is .uk as we get spammers trying to join LU from there.

I ended up changing the search option in good to .com.au and scanned my comp a few time to check for malware and viruses, nothing came up so I have no idea.
