Newcastle are a basketcase they are a perennial mess.

When Wayne Bennett couldn't do anything with them a average coach like Brown didn't have a chance.

A lot of it does have to do with how things are run at the top. As we know tinkler f**ked the joint, as did the Bennett effect after he leaves a club.

Brown signed on a lot earlier than I thought.

But your link, plus others make it out to be they joined at the same time. Either way, both moves were flagged as positives for the Warriors, whilst both have resulted in the Warriors being even more of a laughing stock.

Phil Gould never actually did much for the Warriors but that was due to closed borders. Warriors loss was the Bulldogs gain.
