Opinion Is Ricky Stuart the most overrated coach ever?

Whingeing about the fact that he, and other coaches have to sit through pressers and answer questions but NRL refs dont - is he for real? Hes been coaching for 15+ years and the landscape has not changed....

The thing that gets me as a fan and i have supported some absolute bullshit raiders teams in the past so losing isnt really a big deal for me. Its not like I am a brisbane fan having a meltdown because we missed the finals once. The raiders have been mediocre for the entire time the NRL has existed.

What bothers me as a fan of a loser club for idiots is how Stuart seems to be selling me that everything is fine. I don't believe that Rick because we are sucking. I appreciate its not productive for him to say we suck all the players are disgraces but i would just like to feel that we are on the same page.

Like case in point Jack Wighton. Stuart is obviously very fond of Wighton but i have to question if his best position is fullback. However stuart goes out into the press and says i wouldn't swap any fullback in the NRL for jack wighton and i am honestly confused by that statement. does that mean we can never move on from Jack. we can't try cotric or rapana ???

Like i don't think stuart is the devil or anything. its just i feel so disconnected from what the club is trying to sell me and what i see with my own eyes

We tried to tell you all.

I would still want Stuart in a role in the club but not as coach. He has done some good things for the club but where shark fans were bang on was now that he has built his team he can't do anything with it.

Ideally he should have stepped into a director of football like position at the end of last year and another coach should have been brought in to finish the job. However, realistically you just can't boot a bloke after they finish second.
