Opinion Is Ricky Stuart the most overrated coach ever?

Looks like Mr angry has given in.

cry me a river Ricky.

Yeah he didn't look angry at all, he looks like he's given up. I think he's realized he can't turn it around and is thinking about walking away from them. Although I can't see him getting another position on anywhere near the money he's on now so I can't see it happening. Strange press conference, I actually felt sorry for him.

It does, he never seemed to show a lot of self doubt before and he looked crushed today.

Anyone who thinks he's being sacked has no concept of what the Canberra Raiders footy club stand for.

He'll be here until at least this time 2016

I really feel for Canberra fans, the club seems to be in a financial position where they just don't need to care about their fans. I don't think they have an outstanding team talent wise but it's far from the worst roster in the comp. They should be doing much better.

The club has said many, MANY times it doesnt care about the fans, both directly and indirectly.

I sometimes wish I could change teams..they seek our membership dollars and then refuse to have any involvement with the fan base.

I don't even go into games thinking the Raiders will be competitive. I expect them to get trounced. Towards the end I generally want more points scored against us, so Ricky can be punted. In fairness I'm not even angry with him, it's not his fault his a hopeless merkin. ..it's the board for head hunting him and then signing him up on a lifetime contract. All this whilst winning the spoon..

I think back to when i was 5 years old and rebuffed my family's desires for me to be a Panthers fan... i was born there, grew up there and all my mates were panthers fans... it made sense... I was 17 and at the height of loving football when the Panthers won in 2003. It was a f**king great time to be in Penrith without being a fan.

I brought this on myself

I think back to when I was 3 and my Grand Parents tried to push canberra on me cause my Pop was I massive Big Mal fan. So glad I wouldn't take any jersey other than the one with the horse on it haha

why would you go for Canberra if you were born and raised in Penrith?

My dad is a dogs fan and my mum a panthers fan, both tried to get me on board but I was evidently one of those annoying stubborn kids who wasn't going to capitulate to either and wanted to pick my own path. 5 year old me loved Ricky Stuart and the colour green so that was that

I'll add that despite my current feelings, I've met a lot of good mates and even my lovely wife through the raiders so I wouldn't actually change anything if I had my time again but still...

Well i was about 3 and my uncle a mad doggies fan asked me who do i like. It just happened that the Raiders were on the news and had some game highlights. My favorite color was green and it made sense...could have easily been a south fan lol.

Anyone who gives a cent of their money to the raiders in the form of a membership is just lining the pockets of old men who look down their nose at you.

It's like the waiter of a fancy restaurant giving part of his pay back to the billionaire owner because they are brainwashed into thinking it's somehow helping.

I pity the people who give their money to the raiders board, they literally laugh at you.

Can Ricky pick up consecutive wins before the end of the season and avoid hitting 2000 by the start of next season? I doubt it.
