Kents defence is reallly the only thing possible to say. Insinuate it was something so bad that happened between a couple of little kids that Rickys outburst is justified, refuse to give any details and just insinuate the shit out of it that way he can make it seem like itwas a crime against humanity committed by little 11 year old Salmon but he doesnt have to back it up with any facts or evidence due to Rickys integrity, gutter journalism at its finest easily seen through by anyone not desperate for a reason to defend Ricky.
All you need to do is look at who employs Kent and their "style" of journalism.

I read yesterday he has missed the finals 11 out of his last 15 seasons or something like that so he isnt completely escaping notice.
Well apart from everyone at the raiders organization.

Probably the same reason they will close in on 30 years without a comp.

Yeah your right It will be 4 finals appearances from his last 16 seasons as coach once canberra miss the playoffs this year.

He only can only get his side to the finals on average once every four years.

In saying that each final series he has coach in that time he has got to a preliminary final at a minimum.
So he is a big game coach he just cant get them there regularly enough.

Ricky's coaching record.

Roosters 2002 - 4th - Won GF
Roosters 2003 - 2nd - Lost GF
Roosters 2004 - Minor-Premiers - Lost GF
Roosters 2005 - 9th
Roosters 2006 - 14th

Roosters started losing Ricky lost the plot and left, if he could handle the losses he could easily still be there.

Sharks 2007 - 11th
Sharks 2008 - 3rd - Lost Prelim
Sharks 2009 - 15th
Sharks 2010 - 14th

Again lost the plot when they went on a slide and quit.

Parramatta 2013 - Spoon

Couldn't handle losing and quit after 1 season, breaking contract to join Raiders.

Raiders 2014 - 15th - almost became the first coach to get back to back spoons at different clubs.
Raiders 2015 -10th
Raiders 2016 - 2nd - Lost Prelim
Raiders 2017 - 10th
Raiders 2018 - 10th
Raiders 2019 - 4th - GF loss, hard done by with 6 again call
Raiders 2020 - 5th - Lost Prelim
Raiders 2021 - 10th
Raiders 2022 - Currently 9th

Away from his first job at the Roosters he has only managed to string back to back good seasons together once, his record shit. If he rode through the rebuild at Roosters he could have a mighty fine record.

MG had to pull himself up a couple of times there. Would love to have heard the unfiltered version...

He also had to take a break as MG was quite angry towards the end of his response on air. Quite frankly I don't blame MG. I would not want to be in Paul Kent's shoes when he next encounters Geyer. Kent comparing Oranges with Basalt with his column, the burke.

Classic Kent in that interview - The Raiders will fire up next weekend in support of Ricky. Just like they did last week.

Kent was getting so angry that he was going to burst a vessel. All over what a 12 year old did 10 years ago.
Imagine being coached by him, the rollercoaster of being at the mercy of his instability, outbursts, grudges and just overall intensity. Most NRL players are still in the early 20's and not yet fully emotionally mature enough to deal with someone as intense as that...it would be so incredibly draining.

2008 at the Sharks they won 9 games by 6 or less points, simply put they won all the close ones so over-achieved.

2016 Raiders come 2nd out of no where but couldn't back it up the following years, again over-achieved.

2019 and 2020 he managed to build a decent team with some key signings, simply put he had a good side.

He had Fittler as well running the show on the field from 2002-2004.

We all know Graham Murray built that 2002 squad for him as well.

I haven't heard a Triple M commentator that pissed off since Maroon a couple of months ago when the boys wouldn't give the tax department jokes a rest

Looks like Salmon's lawyer forgot to file the defamation case yesterday. He'll file today, im sure.
For that to happen. someone would first need to declare that they intend on pursuing legal action.
Might be an idea to not put the cart before the horse.

Hard to imagine they don't intend to pursue legal action. We've a couple of QC's here explaining how its a very simple open and shut case. Do the Salmons not like money? Stuart's got plenty of it to go after.

And we have a couple of QCs like yourself explaining how he would struggle in court. I really doubt he will pursue it but if they were going to they dont need to rush to file anything.
