Is he overrated - probably, but he is experienced and does seem to know how to get the best out of his curent playing group. Can't see us being top 4 this year. We will probably go on a streak later in the year and squeeze into the 8. Right now we're adjusting to the new rules while also playing some unbelievably dumb footy.
Ok, before I state this I agree he is a very good coach. But considering the strength of his teams (especially how it helped with his Broncos titles) and his actual strike rate for winning titles, is Bennett actually the most overrated?
They treat him like the GOAT but arguably Gibson, Ryan, Gould, Bellamy, Cleary have better resumes. Then you have shorter term coaches who got the most out of their talent and were successful with what they had.
Think O'Reilly, Peard, Lang, Masters, Fulton.
I would say the Roosters, but the point is still well made.I watch most games every week, and I’ve never seen a team that stop and scream at the ref rather than getting on with it as much as the Raiders do.
Stick’s whinging clearly filtering down to his squad.

Clearly havent watched Parra then.I watch most games every week, and I’ve never seen a team that stop and scream at the ref rather than getting on with it as much as the Raiders do.

Week 1 was atrocious. TBF, they have been much better sinceI would say the Roosters, but the point is still well made.
The great man was right when he said that the awarding of tries which leads to the bunker then taking them away is just plain wrong.
It's hard to celebrate.
Watch how quick they clear a Broncos try, even after a player clearly is tackled and then just gets up and plays on etc. They don't even look, they just hit the try button as quick as they can. Raiders try gets 7 minutes of painstaking analysis from every angle until they can twist a rule or come up with some cockamamy explanation to over rule an onfield try call on the flimsiest of pretexts. It's night and day.
On our furst disallowed melbourne try you can year the on field ref just flat out telling the bunker it's a try, wtf are you doing? Then the bunker says the ball is touched simultaneously (eg not offside or so close you support the onfield decision) yet somehow rules an offside...
