The game shouldn't be dictated to by the medai companies buying up rights. The game should do the right thing by the game, clubs and fans, let the clubs nominate their preferred playing days/times, and do the draw for the whole season in advance, and then say to broadcasters "here it is, how much will you pay for it".

Are you some kind of idiot, without TV rights the NRL wouldn't exist its that simple.

Catering to them should be a vast number 1 and everything second.

Particularly when we will shortly be negotating a long term deal shortly last thing we wont to be seen as is a game that wont come to the party.

I like it.

The only downside is I do miss the Monday morning wrap at the office. Not quite as good when the round isn't complete.

Also the clubs themselves don't seem to like hosting games. If it does bring more money in, why doesn't the NRL pay clubs a bonus to play on Mondays?

Is there a point to MNF? Of course there is - it keeps Fox nice and happy. It also gives fans of 14 clubs the sh*ts, but they don't care - tv runs the game, so we need to keep them happy!

Yes, I did say 14, because Parra and Brisbane don't play enough MNF games for their fans to get the sh*ts...
