Is there any reason we can’t challenge for the title in 2025?

One of the biggest factors will be the mental game Parra are known for. When we play teams we 'should' beat we drop our level and put in a stinker yet the following week we compete against the best in the comp like we have against Penrith but then go on and stink it up against the Tigers. If Ryles can fix this mental lapse and get the team to perform at the same standard each week, top 8 should be a certainty.

I think we will find out by around round 4 what side we will be

yeah, I'm the same

all we've seen is a half strength team against a pretty ordinary Knights team, I'd like to see us at full strength against a team like Storm first up and then a few other games for a better sample size.

Its a bit hard to form an opinion on what we've seen so far.

I do like the style of footy we played though

Given the improved attitudes and squad depth - and some fresh tactics - we'll probably finish somewhere between 6 and 10... hopefully in the top 8.

From there you just have to string two wins in a row to be in the final four - something they only managed once in 11 years under the previous regime - but anything seems possible now.
If it happened once it was possible before as well.

Maybe Penrith dropped to our level when we beat them.

Mad Max Donnelly splashing the cash lol
The Eels are operating without a head of football – Gurr currently holds that role – and there is a feeling that coach Brad Arthur has too much on his plate. It’s estimated that Parramatta are operating on a football department staffing number of 24 after the recent addition of assistant coach David Kidwell. It’s understood this pales in comparison with the top sides. Defending premiers Melbourne are believed to have a staff list of 35, one more than the Roosters.

There is pressure to cut costs after the Eels splurged $22 million on football spending over the past two years, the most of all NRL clubs.
This is the difference between money and resources. When the Storm and Roosters spend big there's no pressure to stop.
